Join me tonight for my first online office hours. This is Free Fertility Facts in a open ended discussion. See you at 6pm tonight!
❤️ Cecily
Join me for a free office hour every Thursday evening at 6:00pm MST. This is an open forum to receive evidence based answers to your fertility questions. See you there!
While things like meditation and connection are absolutely good for you, there is no science that indicates that ALL of your reproductive issues will be solved by “calming down” about it. There are many factors that are barriers to fertility, it is important that we explore these and find evidence based solutions. Ignore anecdotal information about this and find quality support from your reproductive team and your emotional support team together. I’m happy to provide referrals and recommendations. ❤️ Cecily

Egg rolls are considered foods of good fortune for the new year, try my deconstructed healthier version to start your 2019 off nourished and satisfied. ❤️ Cecily
Egg Roll Bowl
Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs organic ground grass fed beef or natural ground chicken
2 medium sized finely chopped onions
Coconut or avocado oil for sautéing
1 1/2 Tbsp sesame oil
A few Tbsps of white wine
1 tsp of powdered ginger or 2 tsp finely minced fresh ginger
1/2 tsp organic black pepper
4 cloves garlic, minced or 1 tsp of garlic powder
1 tsp coconut sap sugar
1/2 Tbsp of crushed red pepper
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
1/3 cup of beef broth or chicken stock
8 cups shredded cabbage
1 1/2 cups shredded carrot
1 1/2 cups broccoli florets
1 small package of sliced mushrooms
1 1/2 cups shredded zucchini
4 tsp organic tamari or organic soy sauce
1 chopped green onion
Method
On medium heat in a large pan (I use a ceramic pot as the veggies initially take up lots of space), add the onions and a bit of avocado or sesame oil. Add the garlic and ginger and sauté for a few minutes until fragrant and soft.
Deglaze the pan by adding 2-3 Tbsps of white wine.
Place meat in pan and cook until browned
Add sesame oil spices, coconut sugar, red pepper and broth to the pan. Stir well.
Add the cabbage and cook until wilted.
Add carrots, broccoli, mushrooms and zucchini Cook for 2-3 minutes until soft.
Add tamari to taste and adjust flavorings as desired.
Garnish with chopped green onions and serve over white basmati rice or cauliflower rice.
Option- toss a fried egg on top and drizzle with a little hot sauce or hot mustard sauce.
Happy winter solstice!
Try scheduling your workouts and planning them out for the week. This should improve the odds of you fitting them in and help you to incorporate diversity! ❤️Cecily fertilegroundhealth

The light emitted from our electronic devices and TV’s can be disruptive to our sleep by raising cortisol levels and negatively affecting melatonin levels. While this translates to a possible bad night of sleep in the short term, it can affect your overall hormone balance by interrupting the feedback loop of your major hormone cortisol. This major hormone can affect your s*x hormones, setting you up for blood sugar imbalances, s*x hormone and thyroid imbalances and poor long term sleep quality.
Try no electronic devices for 90 minutes before bedtime each night. If you have to be on a screen, limit the time and use a night filter to cut down on the blue light from screens (most devices have this.)
Grab a good book instead and read before bed, this will not affect your hormone levels negatively and can help you drift off into restful sleep.

Let’s talk about s*x during postpartum and address factors that may impact and improve s*x after delivery.
A couple might want to connect and discuss s*x before the six week postnatal check-up, so when the time comes any concerns you and your partner have can be discussed with your provider. Be ready to embrace change as s*x postpartum can be a very different experience than what your experience was before and during pregnancy. As your body changes to its new normal you may find s*x feels a bit different than before, and your lifestyle will certainly be different.

You can increase your fertility by using weight bearing exercise!
Not giving your muscles enough stimulation can contribute to estrogen storage that can work against ovulation. Further, weight bearing exercise can help stimulate Human Growth Hormone (HGH) production that will improve overall health and stimulate the reproductive system to run more efficiently.
Just adding a bit more weight bearing exercise can recharge your metabolism into improved fertility.

Breakfast Casserole
1 pound nitrate-free breakfast sausage
1 large sweet potato or 2 medium to small, diced
2-3 cups fresh baby spinach, chopped
1 green onion chopped
Optional- any other veggies you have on hand, leftover cooked veggies are a great add-in
10-12 large pasture raised eggs
Your favorite seasonings/spices, garlic, fresh cilantro tarragon etc.
Sea salt and fresh ground pepper to taste
-Preheat oven to 375 degrees and grease a 9×13″ glass baking dish with coconut oil or whatever you choose (grass-fed butter, yum!). Set aside.
-Prepare veggies. Dice sweet potatoes, chop spinach, and dice up green onion. Let each separately aside.
-Heat skillet over medium-high heat. Remove sausage from casing and add to skillet. Cook until browned and cooked through. Remove sausage from skillet keeping the sausage oils.
-Add sweet potatoes and cook until tender, stir occasionally, about 10 to 15 minutes. Add any herbs and spices while cooking along with salt and pepper.
-Remove sweet potatoes and place in bowl. Toss with spinach, green onion, sausage, and salt and pepper until well combined. Place the mixture into your prepared 9×13 glass dish, spreading evenly across the bottom of the dish.
-In another large bowl, whisk eggs. Pour egg mixture evenly over the sausage and veggie mixture in dish.
-Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until set. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Cut into squares and serve.
**This can be made ahead and enjoyed for the week, it can also be frozen in portion sizes and heated in toaster oven or microwave as a wonderful on the go breakfast!
