Congratulations to our 2024 Junior Dragster Track Champion, Will Dotson! 🏆

This is Will's 5th Championship at Greer Dragway and marks back-to-back #1 finishes for the young racer out of North Carolina. His first and last junior dragster passes were at our racetrack and we have all had the privilege of watching him grow up into a kind, funny, and talented driver.

Will has already converted his winning ways into the "big car" ranks and earned a runner-up finish in a $10,000 event in his brother's dragster. He will certainly be one to watch out for in the staging lanes for years to come!

It’s our last day of the 2024 season, so let’s make it the best one yet!

Gates will be open from 6-10pm tonight for practice, grudge racing, and the 864 Street Car List Race.

Today, we would like to recognize our 2024 Teen Racing Track Champion, Jordan Philbeck!

Jordan is closely following in his father’s footsteps (Robbie Philbeck, the 2023 WDRA Sportsman World Champion) by routinely finding his way to the winner’s circle. In fact, Jordan secured not only the Greer Dragway Championship, but also the Teen Championship at Union County Dragway this season.

We expect to see Jordan move up into the “big car” classes next year and wish him the best of luck! Congratulations and thank you for racing with us this season. 🏆

Team Greer is having a good start to the WDRA Southeast Bracket Finals!!

Parker Dotson started off with a win in the pit vehicle race Thursday night.

In Friday’s Gamblers Race we had an all-Greer Junior Dragster final with Hudson Edwards winning over Adam Agee, then Caleb Dix won the Teen Racing class.

Chad Dotson and Michael Baker were semifinalists in their respective classes of Footbrake and Sportsman. Trey Strange and Parker Dotson were quarterfinalists in the Box Gamblers Race.

In the Race of Champions, we had three runner up finishes with Cody Spears in Sportsman, Will Dotson in Juniors, and Caleb Dix in Teen.

We are looking forward to a lot of win lights and points for our team in the Main Event today!! 🏆

Reminder: there is no practice or grudge racing tonight. We are CLOSED today and Saturday due to our team going to the WDRA Bracket Finals.

Update for Saturday, September 28th: As much as we dislike having to make this post the race for tomorrow has been cancelled. Thankfully we only have minimal damage here at the track itself but we are still without power, with no clue when it would be restored. Also, the roads and areas leading up to the track are in pretty rough shape in some places. We hope that all of you have stayed safe and will continue to stay safe!

We are rained out for Thursday, September 26th. We hope you all stay safe during whatever Hurricane Helene pushes our way! Fingers crossed we will be back open this Saturday, September 28th for the 864 Outlaws and our Bracket Race!

Today is only a good day for ducks...but so far Saturday looks like a great day for racing! 🤞

The 864 Outlaws are sure to put on a great show and we will also have bracket racing for our Pro, No Box, Sportsman, and Junior Dragster classes.

Gates will open at 12 with time trials to begin around 12:30 pm. The 864 Outlaws will make their first pass around 3pm. Spectator admission is $20 for adults, $5 for 6-11 years old, and FREE for kids under 6.

Congratulations to our 2024 Firebull Sportsman Track Champion Cody Spears! 🏆

This back-to-back title marks Cody's 4th Sportsman championship at Greer Dragway since 2019. He has 19 years of racing experience and is often competing behind the wheel of a few different cars and in various classes.

The Tennessee native finished 4th in the Footbrake standings this season and earned a Pro win during the last points race. If it was allowed, we are pretty sure he'd run a junior dragster, too! 🤣
