We're putting a fresh coat of paint on this old truck, getting ready to launch our mobile tool library this Sunday!
We are so close to our funding goal to cover insurance and fees. Please consider donating, to bring this service to our community.
Today, we are up in Seattle helping our neighbors at prepare for tomorrow's tool sale at the NE Seattle Tool Library from 9am-3pm. All items are pay-what-you-will, and all offers are accepted. This whole box truck of donated tools will be re-homed for another life cycle, saving material resources and production costs of new tools.
We're also bringing home some excellent new tools for our Rockwood Tool Library, opening Sunday, September 29th at 18450 SE Stark St in Gresham.
It's so great to meet more sustainable reuse friends—far and near—and strengthen the tool library network.
We had a great second meeting with the Portland Placemaking Coalition to discuss healing neighborhood food deserts through agriculture, community connection, and all-ages education. This rusted old loppers from our donation bin needed 20 minutes of love today. If you have tools that need sharpening, reserve a space at our Free Sharpening Event at the Gresham ReStore on October 5 from 12-3.
We're also collecting donations and running a Pop-Up Repair Shop today at the .rockwood behind the Taco Bell on Stark. Here until 3:30! Come by and learn about our upcoming workshop.

They may be old, but these power tools ate! We were stoked to pick up some well tested and proven workhorses from a neighbor's workshop today. Our will get alot of use from this scroll saw, compound miter saw, and radial arm saw. Thank you to the estate of Rae Owens for showing us his happy place and donating several tools to the community of makers.

We're making pick ups for our tool drive! Thanks to some generous neighbors, we are adding a hand shears, 3 paint rollers, a w**d puller, seed trowel, a pitchfork, a hand claw, and one easily repaired shovel. Extra thanks for unopened boxes of pegboard hooks to keep things organized!!

Gresham’s most dangerous roads are major streets with high speeds and high volumes of traffic. Among them, 181st Avenue is a high-injury corridor with more fatal crashes than other Gresham streets.
Safety improvements are coming.
The City is improving safety along a stretch of 181st between Burnside and Stark streets that is closest to
the E. 181st Ave. MAX Station. This stretch of 181st, near the heart of Rockwood, needs to feel safer and be safer for people on foot, transit users, and customers visiting businesses.

Harvesting all these wild cherry plums means processing time. We'll be making jams and jelly to can with our canning pots and fruit leather with our dehydrator. Need to borrow some food preservation tools? Send us a message. Have tools to lend? Comment below!
By this time next year, we plan to have everything you need to make your harvest last all winter and workshops to share preservation skills.

A Theater Summer Camp based on A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be available from July 15-19, 2024. 4th - 9th grades are invited. 10 am - 2 pm. Lunch provided, bring your own water bottle.
$175 per camper for the week. $150 each for 2 or more campers.
Actors will learn the exciting style of Shakespearean performance by using the same techniques as actors did in Shakespeare’s own time. Character development, improvisation and jolly good times guaranteed.
