Due to ongoing electrical issues in the church today, we are cancelling the Spanish language Mass, Adoration and Confession tonight 8/01/2024. Electricians are in the building now and tracking down the source of the outage.
Daily Mass Schedule Change:
Monday April 1 Through Friday April 5 Adoration at 4:30pm
Mass at 5:30pm. No Daily Morning Mass.
Thursday April 4
Spanish Language Mass as Normal.
This will be a fun evening!
Great news, we are back in the Church for the normal schedule of weekend masses this weekend. We will have Saturday daily mass in the Fireside Room then move the sacramentals back into the church where we will be back to normal as far as Mass is concerned. Faith Formation will meet Sunday as normal. Monday morning Mass is not cancelled.
All Masses are cancelled at St Henry until further notice.
Thank you for your patience, understanding and help. God bless, Fr. Francesco.
St Henry will livestream a private mass Sunday morning at 8:00am. There is no public attendance for this due to the condition of the building.
Update 3: Dear friends, we do have power back and so now we can start again to recover from the current situation. The steps to be taken are as follows. First, we have to start demolition on the damaged areas of the office so that we can get rid of all residual water. We next have to find and fix all the leaks that we have in our plumbing. Last week we repaired seven, but there are others that have not been done yet. After that is the rebuilding of the electrical panel to power up the office again and with it, our emergency phone lines. After that is accomplished, we can reactivate our fire alarms and finally use the church itself.
Our offices will be moved to the school for the duration of the restauration works. We were never able to get staff in this week with the weather, so there are many questions left as to how that will work. With us occupying parts of the school, we will also need to figure out what we are doing for classrooms for our children and youth.
As you see, we currently have more questions than answers for many of our problems and a schedule for these actions cannot be foreseen at this time. It is my first priority to get the church itself up and running as soon as possible, but we are not the only affected building and so we have to be patient. If it is feasible and useful, I will set up a temporary chapel in the gym, but until now that has not been possible as our parking lots were solid ice.
I hope that you are all staying safe and warm.
May God bless you,
Fr. Francesco
Saturday afternoon confessions at 2:30pm and the 5:00pm Vigil Mass at St Joseph the Worker are cancelled. Fr Niall will determine if St. Joseph the Worker will be open for Sunday 11:00am Mass.
All Sunday 1/21/2024 activities are cancelled at St Henry. This includes all Masses, Faith Formation and Youth group. No confessions or 5:00pm Vigil Mass today.

Dear friends, just an update as to where things stand here in St. Henry. Until now our parking lots have not improved at all and are still completely covered in ice. Without spikes it is unsafe to walk across them. Added to that, we lost power during the night. As a result the buildings are now getting dangerously cold, increasing the risk of more damage.
I have not even started to set up the gym because the ice prohibited transferring anything from the church and the temperatures there are now too low to use.
I continue to hope that things will improve, but we are genuinely at risk of not being open at all this coming weekend. I will keep you all informed.
I am sure that many of you are experiencing the same difficulties and I i promise that we are actively praying for you all.
May God bless you,
Fr. Francesco
