UNITED METHODIST MEN'S MUSICAL! Save the date!

Scouts of America is looking for 10-18 year-old boys who are interested in joining their current troop. They are also looking for leaders and for 10-18 year-old girls who are interested in creating a new troop. For information, contact Sonya at [email protected]

ST. MARK'S MEAL MINISTRY is this Sunday, August 18! Eight volunteers are needed each time. The volunteers are asked to meet at 10 am at St. Mark's, 1130 N. Rampart Street, first for worship. Then, following the service, they serve the meal to those who may be hungry or unhoused. To volunteer call GUMC at 504-366-6685, or email [email protected]

Volunteers are also needed on Saturday, August 17, 10 am, to make sandwiches for the St. Mark’s meal to be served the next day. Can you lend a hand?

Thank You, Scout Troop 106! The Scout Master Mike Mozingo and the boy scouts of Troop 106 helped to beautify the garden in front of the church on July 27. Many parents of the scouts along with the beautification team worked together to complete the work just a few hours. Come and see!

This Sunday! Students, educators, and administrators, remember to bring your backpacks, book bags, and briefcases to worship to receive a blessing at the start of this new school year!
