Gm Beloved: Strength For The Journey
Ephesians 3:20-21
20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, 21 to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
Pastoral Enlightenment in Context
In Ephesians 3, the apostle Paul offered a prayer to God the Father on behalf of the congregation of believers in Ephesus. The church there consisted of a mixture of Jewish and Gentile believers.
Paul’s earnest desire was for them to be united in their knowledge and experience of Christ’s love, and to share that love generously with one another. As Paul brought his prayer to a close, he burst into praise, declaring that God can “do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us” (verse 20).
When the Body of Christ comes together on one accord, it allows the Holy Spirit to move in accordance to the Will of God!
Prayer
Dear Lord, thank you for allowing us to see another day! We ask you to govern our affairs as you see fit! We trust you and thank you in Jesus Name, Amen!

2 Timothy 2:15
15. “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
Pastoral Enlightenment in Context
False teachers were a problem in the early church, just as they are now. Pastors and church leaders are charged with the responsibility of keeping God’s people safe from gangrenous teachings that spread and choke out the truth of Scripture and lead to ungodly living (2 Timothy 2:16–17). Paul tells Timothy to warn God’s people “before God against quarreling about words; it is of no value, and only ruins those who listen” (2 Timothy 2:14).
Timothy was to command the people in the presence of God to stop fighting over words and stop listening to those who were stirring up trouble with their pointless, hair-splitting debates. The result of getting caught up in such ideas—building theological mountains out of mere foolish talk—would be spiritual ruin.
Show thyself approved means to present yourself to God in such a way that you receive His approval.

Dear Lord, help us to keep the Integrity of the Word in Jesus Name, Amen!

Gm Beloved: Strength For The Journey
Mark 5:25-28
25 Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, 26 and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. 28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”
Pastoral Enlightenment in Context
Mark tells us, “She had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind him through the crowd and touched his robe.” She had already “heard about Jesus.” Jesus was not new to her. By this time Jesus had already healed hundreds, if not thousands of people by now. As she was hearing about Jesus something significant was taking place in the heart and mind of this woman. She started believing what she was hearing. She is an illustration of Romans 10:17 which says, “Faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ” (NLT). By the time Jesus comes to town she had already heard enough and believed enough to approach Jesus for help.
Prayer
Dear Lord, thank you for reminding us through this Woman how important it is for us to come to you in Faith believing you can turn our situation around in Jesus Name, Amen!

Ecclesiastes 9:11
11. I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn’t always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn’t always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don’t always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time.
Pastoral Enlightenment in Context
Believed, There are no guarantees in life! No matter how hard we try to shape the trajectory of our future by the decisions we make in the present, the fact remains that our knowledge is limited.
We cannot predict our final hour, the manner in which we will pass from this life, nor the reasons behind God's decision to end our days here on earth. What we can determine though is how spiritually prepared we will be when that moment arrives.
Solomon previously emphasized, "All go to one place. All are from the dust, and to dust all return" (Ecclesiastes 3:20), to remind us that we are mortal. Therefore, it is imperative we make the most of the time we have been given to ensure that when our day of reckoning comes, we will be prepared to meet our Maker.
Prayer
Dear Lord, you have given us the Wisdom to choose the path in which we walk! Now we ask for your guidance to live a Life pleasing you in Jesus Name, Amen!

John 5:24-27
24 “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life. 25 Very truly I tell you, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live. 26 For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in himself. 27 And he has given him authority to judge because he is the Son of Man.
Pastoral Enlightenment in Context
Beloved, we were dead in our trespasses and sins, walking in darkness (Eph 2:1). Jesus is making the profound statement that salvation is a free gift from God for those who believe in his Son, Jesus Christ. So, while all are dead in Adam (1 Cor 15:22) by virtue of our inherited sinfulness and the sins we have committed as a result, those who believe pass out of death, and into life, and life eternal. Astonishingly, it is not that they will pass from death to life, but that they have already.
The implications of this are staggering. It means that the Christian does not wait for eternal life to begin at death or when Christ returns, as he promises to in this passage. For the Christian eternal life begins upon belief in “him who sent” Jesus. Those who believe will repent and put their faith in Christ and begin living.
Prayer
Dear Lord, thank you for the gift of salvation In Jesus Name, Amen!

Good morning Beloved: Strength For The Journey
Psalm 42:1
King James Version
1. As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
Pastoral Enlightenment in Context
The writer of this psalm talks about a panting desire to be with God. He is thirsting as a deer thirsts for water to spend time with God. He wants to be in God’s presence.
In church there are many people who believe in God, but He is not the center of their lives. He is not what they seek and want the most in their lives. They are busy with other things in their lives.
The picture of a deer panting for water is one of who is desperate for water. It is one of life and death. Without water, one will die, it is needed.
The same is with God. God should be the most important person in one’s life. So much so that without God, one would feel as if he would die.
There may be many things in your life that you would like to have. Some of which you may think you need to have. However, the most important thing to have is God in the center of your life.
Prayer
Dear Lord, help us to desire your presence in our lives in Jesus Name, Amen!

Isaiah 40:29-31
29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
Pastoral Enlightenment in Context
When we try to get through difficulties in our own strength, we often fall short and become weary, unable to bear the burden. But God promises us a strength and power beyond our own as we continue to rely on Him. Practice putting your mind to finding comfort, joy, and peace in Christ.🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

Good Morning: Strength For The Journey!
Colossians 4:5-6
Amplified Bible
5. Conduct yourself with wisdom in your interactions with outsiders (non-believers), make the most of each opportunity [treating it as something precious]. 6. Let your speech at all times be gracious and pleasant, seasoned with salt, so that you will know how to answer each one [who questions you].
Pastoral Enlightenment in Context
Our words and the way we communicate them are important. Believers are exhorted in Colossians 4:6, “Let your words be seasoned with salt.” As believers, our words should reflect to others the truth of the gospel. They should reveal how this gospel has transformed our lives. Our words should impact our conversations for the better as we bring a different “flavor” to our interactions, build others up, and share as well as defend the gospel.
The words we speak reflect what is in our hearts, “for the mouth speaks what the heart is full of” (Luke 6:45).
Momma would say, it’s not WHAT you say but HOW you say IT!

Dear Lord order our steps in your WORD, in Jesus Name, Amen!

Gm Beloved: Strength For The Journey
Psalm 37:4
4. Delight yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Pastoral Enlightenment in Context
Psalm 37:4 says, “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Taking delight in the Lord means that our hearts truly find peace and fulfillment in Him. If we truly find satisfaction and worth in Christ, Scripture says He will give us the longings of our hearts. Does that mean, if we go to church every Sunday, God will give us a new Rolls Royce? No. The idea behind this verse and others like it is that, when we truly rejoice or “delight” in the eternal things of God, our desires will begin to parallel His and we will never go unfulfilled. Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things [the necessities of life will be given to you as well.

Dear Lord, as we begin this day, we ask that our desires be made manifest according to your will for our Lives in Jesus Name we pray, Amen!

1 Corinthians 15:57
57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Pastoral Enlightenment in Context
In 1 Corinthians 15:55, Paul repeated the questions from Hosea 13:14. Hosea did not give answers to those questions. The verse in Hosea is describing the time when God will defeat the power of death. Then death will have no power; it will be unable to hurt God’s people. The purpose of the questions was to emphasise that fact. God was using those questions to laugh at the weakness of death, as a soldier laughs at his enemy’s defeat.
Paul too used those questions to emphasise how God will defeat death. However, Paul chose to answer those questions. In the future, death will lose its power. In the future, death cannot hurt God’s people. But now it does both these things; death is powerful, and it hurts God’s people. Like Paul, we may wish to ask why.
Paul’s answer is that death hurts people because of sin.

Dear Lord, we thank you for giving us the Victory over the enemy in Jesus Name, Amen!

James 2:14-17
Faith Without Works Is Dead
14. What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15. If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16. and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17. Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
Pastoral Enlightenment in Context
Beloved, James insists that it is not enough to mentally agree about certain facts of God. If what a person believes about God does not lead them to act accordingly, then their ''faith'' is not saving faith. It is merely opinion. James never says that faith is not essential for salvation. He never claims works are required to obtain or keep salvation. He is, however, crystal clear that true saving faith cannot be separated from the evidence of good works. Faith without Works is Dead!
Prayer
Dear Lord, we Thank for giving us clear instructions on “Faith Without Works is Dead”, we pray that every experience we encounter will draw us closer to your Will for our lives through “Faith” in Jesus Name, Amen!
