Ramadan is a heavenly month of extraordinary love, which is a time of more profound reflection and commitment. It is a moment of physical and spiritual enlightenment. It's also a time of self-improvement, heightened devotion and persistence towards great deeds.

However, as we are about to begin this year's Ramadan, I pray that Allah fills our homes with warmth and harmony, and may He give us what he thinks is beneficial for us here and hereafter. (Ameen🙏)

About this time when people have far more pressing issues due to the pandemic, the Orphans Needy Abandon Children ONAC remains unchanged in their quest to help out the less fortunate children. In this sad occurrence (pandemic), we see for once that there is a possible intensive hardship gearing toward orphanages and other less fortunate children in our society which could lead to high percentage of those children being out of school, lacking school accessories, meals par day, lacking health care, etc, however, we have had a series of donations to help some orphanages keep up in some of those areas (health and meals). Notwithstanding, we placed education at the full front of our recent list of priorities in order to begin with at the end of the pandemic or the reopening of schools, against this background, we initiated the ONAC's Kids Spelling Bee Competition and Fundraiser in order to help out some less privileged children keep up with school in these difficult times. Haven't successfully completed the competition with the Comfort K Toe Orphanage earning 1st winner, Center for God's Kids 2nd and Monrovia Training Academy 3rd, we had like to use this time and medium to congratulate all of our winners and participants and to also appreciate our sponsors and contributors that help us thus far, we acknowledged your tireless effort to get us where we are. Kudos to our man and women on the frontline to change the narrative of the underprivileged children in our society.
You guys are the real big deal.

This year, Liberia's independence day was celebrated by the Orphans Needy Abandon Children ONAC with a great sense of charity. On today, we created the chance to meet with some widows and single mothers out there in Bomi County ( Leipe Town) after our recent surveyed, we discovered that their sources of lighting at night have caused them to spend over 60% of their monthly earning on batteries and candles, against this background, we decided to celebrate this year independence day thereby providing them with a light that is chargeable by solar panel, with this, they won't have to spent as much as even 0.5% of their monthly earnings on electricity. We served over thirty (30) households in Leipe Town along with their religious centers (Mosque and Church) with the multipurpose LED Light which includes charging phones, laptops, etc. Hence, we express our sincere gratitude to our team of inspiring young humanitarians and all of our contributors.

As long as r**e continue to happen, and as long as people out there still condone it by disregarding, or keeping silent or even slightly downplaying the gravity of such crime(s), then everyone is still in danger of this happening to them. It therefore remains a major threat to women and girls.

We need to listen to survivors when they gather the unspeakable amount of courage it takes to speak up and say, "me too".
We need to advocate, defend and fight for the people, particularly victims, who can't fight for themselves.

Something has to be done to make a shift or change. Overlooking r**e is equally dangerous, keeping silent and trying to make it disappear; and knowing about it while not doing anything about it, isn't going to change anything.

We are humans and we all know the world today is changing but unfortunately, r**e is still prevalent and happening every single day. People are beginning to talk about it more, but it is still not reaching a point where there is a solution.

Many women and girls were subjected to r**e by men who felt as though they were in the right, and looking to gain positions of power, among other things.
We’re not too small, and not too young to drive the needed Change. Let’s take advantage of the world and its vast opportunities to make it a safe and better place for all.

Alhamdullilah
The Orphans Needy Abandon Children ONAC had an awesome time with the kids at an orphanage in V.O.A community, Brewerville, called the Khahtain Children Village.
We were able to educate and sensitize the children on preventive measures against this deadly COVID-19 pandemic. We also had a modest end of Ramadan (Eidul Fitr) 2020 celebration with them.
ONAC distributed many toys including
cars,
doll babies
flying jets
slime
clays,
and toy cooking utensils and related materials for kids (girls), among others.

In addition, Team ONAC also provided the kids light food, snacks such as
popcorns
juices
chocolates,
biscuits,
cakes,
cheeseballs, and many more.

As it was said by Mitch Albom, “The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning.”

We are therefore grateful to all of our sponsors, and may the Almighty Allah reward them for their kind gestures.

ONAC looks forward to the continued sponsorship, and seeks more support and partnership from all as ONAC remains committed to serving humanity particularly the underprivileged, vulnerable and marginalized groups.

Our Panelist includes:
Mr. Eddie D. Jarwolo
Director, Naymote Partners for Democratic Development

Co-Founder - Sleepless in Monrovia

Mr. Hamilton Greene,
Chairman of the Economic Reform Alliance (ERA) and

Aminata H. Sheriff
Co-Founder and Executive Director,
Orphans Needy Abandon Children (ONAC)

Concept

As our world is perturbed by the impact of the global pandemic, Vulnerable populations are the worst and most shaken. In their current fragile state, inadequate access to medical services, escalating hunger, shortage of protective equipment that would aid mitigation thereby lessening their exposure to the virus is implausible. More visible is their paucity to social distancing policies due to the lack of knowledge on awareness of Covid-19 . The period of rising infestation of the outbreak have severely exposed the underlying social, economic, and health inequalities within marginalized communities and among forgotten populations. We also cannot ignore the growing irregularities of humanitarian intervention that increases their exposure to the virus.
One powerful narrative on impact is how unique Liberians are merging their financial resources to support marginalized populations whose vulnerabilities are further heighten and exacerbated by the impacts of the outbreak. Their donations have sparked several questions. Primarily, while these populations are shock by the contrast of normal and deviant economic challenges, the investigation of how we can shape venerable communities from needing philanthropist support to self-sufficiency remains a key phenomenon. Also, another element for probe, is how can we abolish their existing needs through collective humanitarian actions and strategies that would curve aid dependency syndrome to self-adequacy. We would also love to access the rate of ordinary vulnerability of communities and populations during the outbreak. During these conversations, we will have a chance to be inspire by the amazing humanitarian works each of our panelists are leading.
Just can't wait!! Signup now!!!!

Our spotlight shine on this great Female Aminata H Sherif

But the question is,Who is she poetically? (Identification)

She is a voice to those with none
A personality that roars in goodness thought
She is the arm to those with no parents
A custodian to the downtrodden

She is a wind that blows from the slum to the ghetto
One that comes to aid the pain of the masses
She is a figure that is figuring out
The right to light with holding a light for the poor

She is an emblem of hope to the hopeless
A hater of ignorant people, liars,
And people who use others for a gain.
A native child who has seen enough
that would make most people's skin crawl.

She is a soldier that is dinging and ringing for the orphans
One who wages war against social injustice, Inequality and social vices
She is the First letter (A) in the alphabet
And a positive model on the internet

We are proud to live in the same century with you
Please keep up the good work.🤔
