Hello, Holt Families!

We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to our Holt Crossing Family Night, which will be held on Thursday, September 19, from 5:00pm - 6:00pm (doors open at 4:55pm). This event will be a great opportunity for you to meet and interact with your child's teachers, who have prepared a series of activities including:

Learning and understanding classroom expectations
An overview of what your child will be learning this year
How to communicate about your child
Interactive activities for you and your child to reinforce their math and literacy skills
Meeting your child's Unified Arts teachers!

This is a great opportunity to go "behind the scenes" and find out what it is really like to be a student at Holt Crossing. Finding out more about your child's education will assist you in helping them have a year full of learning, fun, and adventure! Please look for more information from your child's teachers about how Family Night will look for you. We hope to see you there!

Nos gustaría aprovechar esta oportunidad para invitarlos a la Noche Familiar de Holt Crossing, la cual se llevará a cabo el jueves 19 de septiembre de 2024, de 5:00 pm a 6:00 pm (las puertas se abren a las 4:55 pm). Este evento será una oportunidad para que conozca y comparta con los maestros de su estudiante en varias actividades que han preparado para esta noche, entre las que podemos mencionar:

Conocer y entender sobre las expectativas del salón de clases.

Cómo comunicarse sobre tu hijo
Actividades interactivas para usted y su hijo para reforzar sus destrezas en matemáticas, lectura y escritura

En esta noche podrá ir "detrás del escenario" y ver cómo es el trabajo diario de un estudiante en Holt Crossing. ¡El conocer sobre el proceso de aprendizaje de su hijo le ayudará a poder apoyarlo para que tenga un año de aprovechamiento académico, divertido y repleto de aventuras! ¡Esperamos verles!

A special thank you to Light Ohio Blue for sponsoring the 2023 First Responder Photo Challenge. As always, we are honored to be able to participate in this friendly competition but more thankful to be able to use our platform to commemorate and honor first responders who lost their lives on 09/11. We remember their bravery and their sacrifice on that tragic day in our nation’s history.

With the support of our amazing community, we won first place in Category 2! We were able to achieve this honor with the immense support from each and every one of you. Every year during this challenge we get to witness the support that communities have for their local police and fire agencies. Thank you for supporting GCPD!

This weekend is the Ohio tax-free weekend (Aug 4-6) which is a great time for back to school shopping. School starts August 21.

Happy staff appreciation week!!! Kicking off day 1 with coffee and donuts to celebrate our staff! This would be a great time to reach out if a staff member has helped you out your student out this year!

Just a reminder that we will be accepting winter gloves, mittens, hats and scarves through next Tuesday. There is a box set up in the office for drop off. Thank you

Starting 11/27/22 Holt Crossing PTA will be having a Mitten Drive. We are collecting hats, gloves, and mittens as the weather gets colder and this need is present for many students. We will have a box in office for drop up between Monday and December 20th that students can drop off items.
