This morning we ran into from Living Roots Eco Design & Plant Nursery at Carroll's… Finally had a chance to tell her, in person, how much her hard work and dedication is appreciated by the rest of us. Yard update :)

A small transformation [with the addition of edging, a couple of palm trees, and a crape myrtle] that brings the space together. Next, we’ll be adding as a lawn replacement… and this slice of paradise will be in full swing for the summer.

Be patient with your native plants. Especially those perennial shrubs and trees. They will grow roots first. It may be tempting to fertilize them - do so lightly with a micronutrient product and a little compost rather than heavy duty NPK which can shock them.

We carry several liquid fertilizer products at our Garden Shop that would be appropriate gentle fertilizers to support plant establishment

This tree, commonly known as “silk floss”, is a true show stopper. While driving around , i found myself literally pulling over and putting the truck in reverse, to take a closer look.
