What is immunity & how does it work? The body’s immune system works to protect against disease-causing germs like viruses and bacteria, among others that may cause illness and infection. When germs are introduced to the body, your immune system quickly begins to attack those germs before they’ve caused any damage (illness).

When it comes to Covid-19, the body can build immunity in one of three ways:
1. Naturally through infection of the virus.
2. Vaccinations against the virus.
3. Hybrid Combination or Hybrid immunity of both the infection and vaccination

Which method is most effective for protection against Covid-19?

Although the CDC reports that hybrid immunity is the most effective form of protection against the virus, the primary recommendation for increased immunity against Covid-19 is to stay up to date with your immunizations and to maintain an overall healthy lifestyle.
