A 2 day job here resealing the bottom end on a 2019 Ford F350 with the 6.7 Powerstroke. All 13+ 6.7 Powerstroke trucks had problems with upper oil pans leaking due to Ford using an RTV silicone gasket vs where the 11-12 Trucks use a rubber gasket on the upper oil pans. 11-12 trucks aren't prone to leak like the 13+ trucks. This job involve removing the transmission, and jacking up the engine so the oil pan could be slid out from the rear side of the engine. This was a pretty expensive job here. Now she's is leak free!

Just watch out what you buy from EBay or Amazon. Lots of counterfeit parts sold on both sites. If the price is too good to be true then that tells you something. 2006 Ford F350 6.0 Powerstroke, No start after customer replaced IPR valve. After gathering a little info on the truck, and looking at scan data I determined we had a faulty IPR valve. Once customer told me he purchased it off of EBay, I determined valve was a counterfeit Ford valve. Seen it plenty of times. I started to pull valve out and it broke in pump housing. Extracted valve, replaced with Ford valve, truck started right up. At the end of the day, this part could’ve cost you a lot of $$$ down the road chasing drivability problems. Luckily the valve was bad right out of the box. Lesson learned don’t use cheap parts.

We have an old school 1975 Chevy Malibu with a later 5.3 LS engine swapped into it. Motor has a dead miss on cylinder 6 with low compression. Pulled cylinder head and found 2 bad lifters.

Got a call on a 2003 F150 with it leaking coolant in the valley of the engine. Pretty common for the intake manifolds to fail on this generation of F150’s and a failing intake will cause issues like this and other drivability problems. We went ahead and replaced the intake manifold with a new one and now the truck drives perfect. No more coolant leaks! Customer is very happy with the job we did.

Customer reached out to me on his 2001 F350 stating that he hears his brakes grinding metal to metal. So we did a quick front brake job on this beautful F350 which consitsted of new calipers, rotors and pads. Checked the rear brakes too while I was there. Back on the road again!

Customer called advising his water pump was leaking on his 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 360 V8. I did verify the water pump was indeed leaking by pressurizing the cooling system. I went ahead and replaced the water pump, thermostat and upper radiator hose. Now the truck is running great and leak free.

Do you have a 2011-2014 Ford Edge and does you brake pedal go to the floor? Here I’m replacing the ABS pump actuator motor due to a low brake pedal. Very common problem with the 2011-2014 Ford Edge. The problem usually occurs after a panic stop. The problem occurs internally in the ABS pump actuator where a valve sticks allowing fluid to bypass the valve causing a low brake pedal feeling. The only way to repair this is to replace the ABS pump actuator.

Never ignore these chain driven waterpumps on the Ford Duratec 3.5 and 3.7 engines from 2007-2019. These are very straight forward to do while the engine is out on the ground like here in the pictures. This is a used engine going in a 2012 Ford Ta**us Sho. I have no history on the engine. This engine just got a new timing chain, water pump, and timing chain guides. Not going to cheap out here! Usually if the water pump fails and the repair has to be done in the vehicle, the dealer charges around $3500 to do this job, and a local small shop is arond $2000 to do this job. Work smarter not harder!

Customer called and stated the car would not pass inspection due to a few evap codes. I had to put the smoke machine on the car to see if we could locate the leak. It didn’t take long for the leak to be found. Here is a prime example of rodents getting into the vehicle and having a nice feast on some plastic vacuum lines. I repaired the damaged vacuum lines and smoke tested the vehicle again and no more leaks.

Quick engine build for one of my Dealer customers. All new upper gasket set, new timing chains, and reconditioned cylinder heads. We'll be installing this engine this week for them!

With the winter months upon us, customer decided to get the heater core replaced in his Silverado. Very labor intensive job. We had to remove the dash to gain access to the HVAC box that houses the heater core. I got the customer taken care off, now they have heat. Another job well done by J.M.M.S.

Had a customer call me and stated his 2016 Chevy Impala with the 3.6 was running rough with a p0300 code multiple cylinder miss fire. Hooked up my scanner. Looked at the misfire counter on scanner. We found that cylinder 2, and 3 were misfiring. Recommended 2 new coils for cylinder 2, and 3 along with replacing all spark plugs since I was going to have to remove upper intake manifold. Replace parts, now car runs great again.

Another GM 3.6 with timing issues. Bank 2 timing chain jumped time causing low compression on cylinder # 2. These 3.6 engines are interference engines meaning if the engine jumps time there is a possibility of the piston and valve making contact. Cyl #2 had 2 bent intake valves. So to fix this issue with this engine, cylinder head was pulled and sent to machine shop, new valves installed and cylinder head pressure tested to verify repair. I installed all new timing chains from GM, new head gasket, and other various gaskets. As you can see before repair cylinder had 65 psi of compression, after repair cylinder had 130 psi of compression.

Another GM High Feature 3.6 Engine with a timing chain failure. Being that this engine is an interference engine, most likely this engine has multiple bent valves and will need new heads at minimum to get it running again.

Replacing a CP4 Pump on a 2013 Chevy 2500 with the LML Duramax. Customer stated that truck was stuck in limp mode. Varified customer concern using the GM Tech II scanner. The CP4 pump is a weak spot on all the Duramax LML engines.
