Announcement:
It is with a sad heart that we have made the decision to close Peg’s Place at this time. After assessing the repairs that would be required to continue to operate to our standards and the way we have for the last 20 years, we have come to this difficult conclusion. It has been an incredible journey with so many customers and friends that we have made! We have operated Peg’s Place for 30 years in Hamburg, with our motto “Our Family Serving Your Family” and our family could not be more proud of what we have done. We look forward to continuing our Family tradition at Johnson’s Landing and would love to see you there! We will be swapping any outstanding gift cards out with either Johnson’s Landing gift cards or buying them back from you. We will also still honor any of the catering events that are scheduled and be reaching out next week to those affected. Thank you to all of our customers and especially my staff!!!

As we are completing some of the repairs at Pegs, we have found some further issues in the building. We will be closed another week as we work through these issues……

Announcement- we will be closed on September 4th for Labor Day and will be closed for 2 weeks after for some much needed repairs! Thank you for your patience!

To all our customers: with the opening of our restaurant & brewery Johnson’s Landing just a short time away, we will be changing our hours at Peg’s Place. Our new hours will be from 7am until 2pm everyday. This change will allow us to use our most valuable resource - our staff- at both of our businesses. Thank you for your support!

If there's a federal holiday that's tough to find words for, it's Memorial Day.

There is deep irony in a day that is possessed of such profound sadness for so many Americans being so closely associated with the start of summer, beautiful weather, and lighthearted reunions with friends and family.

Those of us who are veterans of war, like numerous members of this department, know the sting of sacrifice and must learn to embrace the seeming contradiction... or don't, which makes it harder. The truth is that both aspects of this holiday exist together in a poignant mix that we must all drink together. It's a part of our shared national experience that we can't escape, even if we relate to it differently, or push the source and meaning of it to the backs of our minds.

When you enjoy this holiday, and the amazing weather we're sure to have, be sure to spend a few moments reflecting on the awesome responsibility borne by your fellow Americans who have entered the service, whether or not by their own initiative, and laid their lives down in defense of this nation's liberty, influence, and security. Their lives and ours are intertwined, and it's for us to now enjoy this day on their behalf, with heartfelt appreciation.
