Our Food Food Force volunteers are bagging, packing and about to deliver fresh food to dozens of people who really need it: New Haven County seniors. We serve well over 150 local seniors with deliveries of free groceries every Saturday. Food prices have skyrocketed. Food Force lightens the burden.

A story from this week:
One of our rides volunteers was dropping off an elderly client at a doctor's office, when he noticed a man leaning on a rollator walker in the parking lot. Well over an hour later when the client was picked up, the man was still there.
What would you have done?
Our driver volunteer realized this man might be stranded and in need of a ride.
He was.
The guy had been left stranded by a company that provided rides to seniors in the New Haven Area.
Another example of how we honor our commitment to local seniors with care, friendship and love.

Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers of Greater New Haven and the Cultivating Connections cohort embarked on a musical adventure at the New Haven Symphony Orchestra on Saturday. Sharing laughter, stories, and the beauty of music made it a field trip to remember! Together, we aim to continue nurturing these connections with Seniors in the community.

It was a big day for IVCG’s Diapers 4 Dignity program. Thanks to some local donors and the The Diaper Bank of Connecticut our inventory is replenished.
Our volunteers are amazing and worked through over 80 boxes!

After today’s rain, the sunshine came from inside as well as outside. Thanks to Nutmeg Insurance Advisors - David MacNiven for including us in the upcoming Sounds of Health podcast. Stay tuned for the next episode where you can discover the importance of volunteering.
