Summer Reading Wrap-Up!

For children who have kept reading logs:

—Turn in your reading log by September 6 to receive a participation certificate and prize.
—Last day to vote for an animal is September 6. (Voting is open to everyone, not just those who kept reading logs.)
—The winning animal will be announced the following week, and the library will make a donation to Heifer International to send that animal to a family in need.

It's coming up to that time again--check out some books to help get excited about school!

There is still plenty of room in Playful Engineers this Friday, August 16, 10:30--12:00.

In this STEM focused workshop, participants design, build, test, and play with chain reactions and creative contraptions, like Rube Goldberg machines, paper constructions, domino towers, exploding popsicle-stick snakes, and other awesome engineering explorations. We have had this program a couple of times in recent years, and it is always amazing.

For age five years and older.

Check out our Wizard of Oz installation, on the grounds by the children's garden. It was crafted by members of the Plymouth Antiquarian Society, was previously on display near the Plymouth waterfront, and has now been graciously donated to our library. Ask at the children's room desk for a poppy to add to the creation!

TOMORROW, JULY 8, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.--Children's Summer Reading Kick-Off!!!
Drop in and join us outside for lawn games, hula hoops, and bubbles! Then head inside for fun snacks, and get your summer reading log and some extra goodies. For all ages.
