Five Mile Creek Schoolhouse
Welcome to the historic, community-owned Five Mile Creek School House on M-119 in Harbor Springs, MI. Soon the monthly "schoolhouse dinners" began.
The Five Mile Creek Schoolhouse, located west of Harbor Springs on M-119 near Five Mile Creek Road, operated as a one-room school from 1915-1952. Over the years many different teachers educated a small group of students, fired the wood furnace, and cooked a hot lunch. After this small school district voted to annex to Harbor Springs, its doors remained closed only a short period of time. The Five

Saturday is the Feast of the Epiphany, when churches commemorate the arrival of the Wise Ones at the manger in Bethlehem. At the schoolhouse, we will observe this with our monthly potluck. Bring a dish to share, plus your own place settings, and join the festivities--beginning at 6:15pm on Saturday, January 6.
