Lemon Pie - i am baker Joanna Gaines famous Lemon Pie recipe is a family favorite! The perfect amount of sweet and tart paired with a fantastic graham cracker crust!
It will.. I promise you if you follow the ingredients.
1 cup of flour
1 cup self-rising cornmeal
1 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons baking powder
pinch of salt
2 eggs
1 stick of butter(melted)
1 3/4 cup buttermilk
1 tablespoon canola oil
Preheat oven to 400°F
Pour 1 tbsp canola oil into cast iron skillet, coat well and place in the oven for 5 minutes until hot.
In a large bowl, mix flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, salt, eggs, butter and buttermilk. (Add more milk if needed).
Remove pan from oven and immediately pour cornbread mixture into the skillet.
Re-introduce the batter-filled CI skillet into the oven for 20 minutes at 400°
Remove from oven and set aside, allowing cornbread to cool. Serve with your meal of choice.
