GET READY FOR MOVE IN! 🙌
Students who live on campus will be welcomed to campus by a team: the Community Living Coordinator (CLC: the adult that lives in each residence hall), Residence Assistants (RA: the trained student staff here to support you), and members of the Student Engagement team will be on hand and ready to help you move in!
For those of you commuting, there will be opportunities to come to campus and meet with staff who will guide you into the campus community! IT and Campus Safety staff are working to create your student ID and get your keys ready! (Get your photo turned in through your admissions portal if you haven’t already!)

MOVING OUT? 📦🏠
Crimson Cupboard and Re-Store have bins set up for you to place your donations in as you move out of your residence hall.
Re-Store is accepting CLEAN, gently used clothing and household items in working order. Crimson Cupboard is accepting non-perishable and NOT EXPIRED food items. All other items should be discarded or recycled.
Bins will be out until Tuesday, May 14th. Extra dumpsters will be on campus May 13th-May 20th.

🎟️ If you did not pick up your ticket, your last chance is from 12:00-1:00 PM today at the Campus Connect Desk in HSU. We will also have a list of names at the door if you were unable to get yours in advance. Having tickets makes the check-in process go significantly faster, but we have a printed list as back up.
❗️ If you did not RSVP in advance, we have hit our max and we are out of space!
⏰ Doors will open at 6:30 PM. Awards will be announced around 8:00 PM.
🚌 The shuttle will leave from behind the Daugherty Center at 6:40 PM to go to the event. The first ride back to campus will be at 10:00 PM.
📍 May Fete is located at the Adams County Fairgrounds- West End. (this is a different space than last year) Once you exit, you cannot get back in.
Miss Daisy invites you to bring your furry friends (on a leash) and enjoy an outdoor picnic with us. 🌭 🍔We will be grilling up hot dogs and hamburgers to enjoy.
This event is B.Y.O.Blanket and you are responsible for cleaning up and watching after your pet. All pets must be kept in the grass and not go on the deck near the food or enter the Hazelrigg Student Union.

Turner Griffin, a biology and theatre major from Grand Island, NE is a member of Alpha Psi Omega, Model United Nations, Bronco Marching Band, and Hastings College Choir.
Ikeah Cuff, an exercise science and sports psychology major with a minor in strength and conditioning from Detroit, MI is a member of the track and field team, Black Student Union, and Student Association. She is also a Student Athletic Trainer on campus.
Rhys Maxey, a studio art and business administration major from Kersey, CO is a member of the track and field team and was named an all-conference athlete.
Jonah Reed, a secondary science education major from Firth, NE is a member of the esports and shotgun sports teams and the Hastings College band. He is also the president of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.
Brooke Jorgenson, a studio and digital art major with minors in education and psychology from Orleans, NE is involved with art and theater. She is a member of Alpha Psi Omega, Alpha Chi, Kappa Pi, and Honors Program. She is also a Resident Assistant.
Sofia Gomez-Garcia, an exercise science major with a minor in sociology from Columbus, NE is a member of the women’s soccer team, Association of Student Athletes, Food 4 Thought, and HC Sports Performance.
Trystan Soby, an exercise science and community health and wellness major from Omaha, NE is a member of the football team and HC Sports Performance.
Owen DeBoer, a physics major from Omaha, NE is a member of the esports team, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and Hastings College band.
Lindsey Pratt, an elementary and special education major from Denver, CO is involved with theater and is a member of Alpha Psi Omega and Alpha Chi.

Important events happening THIS Wednesday in HSU!
April is Sexual Assault and Sexual Awareness Month. This is an annual campaign to raise public awareness about sexual assault and educate communities and individuals on how to prevent sexual violence.
Our friends at enCourage Advocacy Center will be on campus on May 1st hosting two events free to students, faculty and staff!
🔹 GREEN DOT TRAINING @ 11:30-12:30 PM
Answer this question and learn how to become an effective bystander through the Green Dot violence prevention program. Green Dot helps you identify the warning signs of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse before an incident may happen–and how to step in, using effective techniques that account for your comfort level and personality.

TONIGHT! Free bowling at Pastime Lanes 🎳
The Student Association is hosting a free Bowling Night at Pastime Lanes TONIGHT- April 29th! The entire bowling alley will be rented out for Hastings College students from 7:30-10:30 PM!
Shoe rentals and games will be paid for. Snacks must be purchased on your own.
Bowling lanes should be maxed out with students. If you see a lane with just 1-3 students, ask to join their lane so more people can go at once! Please carpool, no shuttle is available.

Due to the food truck lines and increase in foot traffic, all cars must be removed by Friday at 8:00 PM! No cars may enter or exit the barricaded areas until the event is over on Saturday.
All crowds for the volleyball tournament must sit in the provided bleachers or in the grass on the north east side of the sand pit. The new basketball and pickleball courts should be free for people to use.
Grounds may be wet due to the rain we've experienced. Please plan ahead with your blankets and chairs and accordingly with your shoes and apparel. All activities will take place regardless of any potential very light rain. If conditions worsen, inflatables will have to be taken down. Follow this account and your emails for updates!

They will be set up behind the Scott Studio Theater starting at 12:00 PM. The first 300 students will get a free snow cone- no ticket needed! After we hit the limit, you may purchase as much as you want.
All other food trucks require a meal ticket.

GET READY FOR BRONCO BASH! 🎉
The event will take place, tomorrow, Saturday, April 27th starting at 10:30 AM between HSU and Altman Lawn. Festivities will last till 5:00 PM. Learn more below!
❗️The interior parking lots and driveway between the Chapel and HSU will be closed for this event. All vehicles must be removed from these parking lots and roadways prior to 8:00 PM tonight, Friday, April 26th so that preparations can begin. Alternate parking spaces are available in the Weyer Hall/Fuhr Hall parking lots, Morrison Reeves/Daugherty Center interior parking lots, and at the Lynn Farrell Arena.
🏐 The Volleyball Tournament will be a double elimination and start at 10:30 AM. Teams that signed up in advance will receive a bracket today. All spectators should gather on the north east side of the sand volleyball court and NOT on the basketball courts. We have provided bleachers this year to sit on! Reminder: play safe, be kind and have fun.
🎟️ We have three delicious food trucks this year! The first 300 servings are free at Tropical Sno- no ticket required. We will be handing out tickets for 200 meals at both Susy's Tacos and KennaBell's BBQ. You must get a ticket at the Check In Table in order to receive one of the meals. The dining hall will also have normal hours.
🍽️ There will be tables and chairs in the Bronc parking lot and picnic tables throughout the event site for you to sit and enjoy your food. Please pick up after yourself and utilize the multiple trash cans that are provided.
🏀 A variety of yard games will be set up on Altman Lawn and the new basketball courts. Have fun, be respectful of the items and return them after you use them!
🏰 There will be two inflatables starting at 11:00 AM on Altman Lawn! To go on the Wipeout Course or the 75 foot Obstacle Course, you must sign a waiver that Dr. Sophia McDermott will have. These will be up until 5:00 PM.
👕 Scott Scholar students will be handing out limited edition t-shirts at the Check In Table! Visit the tent to view the special Bronco Bash design.
