It's with a heavy heart that we share the passing of one of our RiteCare clinicians. We will always remember Paul not only as a colleague, but a mentor, teacher, and friend. He was and will continue to be influential in the treatment of children with severe speech sound disorders throughout the state of Nebraska with all that he has shared.

Dear MMI family 💔 It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of our long-time friend and colleague’s passing, Paul Laikko. He spent 35 years at the Munroe-Meyer Institute, specializing in treating children with severe speech sound disorders. "We are so lucky that he shared his time with us all these years,” said Dr. Amy Nordness, MMI Associate Director. “We will miss him tremendously and will continue to work toward improving the outcomes of the children we serve.”

We are very proud of the Steinkraus family for completing the Project ImPACT Parent Training program! They showed great dedication and learned skills to improve social engagement, communication, imitation, and play. Congratulations!!

We are so grateful for this amazing gift to the clinic!

It's been a busy day in the clinic with a lot of children provided services! The only thing left on our to-do list is reach our Give Hastings Day goal! Thank you to those who have donated, we're past $4,000 and growing!

UPDATE: The groups are currently FULL! If you didn't get a chance to join this session, still give us a call and we will put you on the waiting list for group services! We plan on this being a consistent service so more opportunities will be available in the future.

Tiny Talkers Club starts this week on Tuesdays and Thursdays!! Our groups are almost full with only 1-2 more spots available! Therefore, CALL NOW!! 402-463-1518. Prior enrollment, including a phone screening must take place before your child can participate in the group. All services continue to be at NO COST.

NOW ENROLLING! Together with the Hastings Public Library, RiteCare Clinic Hastings | MMI is offering a toddler group for children ages 18 months to 3-years-old. Please call 402.463.1518 for a phone screening and to enroll your child! Groups will be held Tuesday and Thursday 10:00-10:45 a.m. at the Hastings Public Library and spots are limited!

Happy to announce that the communication board designed by RiteCare Hastings clinicians and funded by the Key Society and Hastings Community Foundation is here!! Go by Crosier Park and see the new addition!

The WalkRite for RiteCare is TODAY! Due to the weather, the event is delayed an hour. Registration will start at 11:00, with the Walk leaving at 11:30. Lunch will be served immediately following. We hope to see you there!

THANK YOU THANK YOU!! We met our goal of $6,000 raised for speech, language, and swallowing services!! Every year we are blown away by the generosity of our community! Speech therapy treatment is approximately $100-$250 dollars per session so every dollar goes toward covering these costs.
