The Mary Lanning Healthcare School of Radiologic Technology was founded in 1953 by Dr. Richard.
Congratulations to the Mary Lanning Healthcare School of Radiologic Technology class of 2024! Good luck in your future educational endeavors and careers! Thank you to everyone who helped make our graduation ceremony a success.
* ONE day until graduation! *
The students have been counting down all week.
This week they also took time and recognized a few technologists at their clinical sites by choosing a few to give the "Apple award". The Apple award is given to a technologist that they feel goes above and beyond when teaching them in the clinical setting. They answer questions while remaining patient and offer their help when seeing a student struggle and are just overall welcoming and kind to the students.
The Hastings students chose the technologists at Hastings Orthopedics - Kristen and Aundrea. The Kearney students chose Kelli Rademacher from our Good Samaritan Hospital clinical site. Congrats ladies and thank you for being part of the education process of our students, setting a good example, and having a positive impact on their clinical education.
**Announcement!**
Our graduation ceremony for this Saturday 7/13 at 11:00 am has been moved to the French Memorial Chapel on Hastings College campus. This is due to circumstances out of the School's control. The Fuhr music hall is undergoing construction and remodeling of the restrooms. This work will not be completed by this week. The French memorial chapel is a great facility and is located at 710 Turner Ave and is in the center of the circle drive. Thank you for your understanding.
Senior Spotlight * CLASS of 2024 * Natalie Koubek
Hello everyone! My name is Natalie and I am a senior in the Mary Lanning School of Radiologic Technology. Prior to Mary Lanning I finished my generals at the University of Nebraska - Kearney. During my first two years of college I was an active member in my local church’s college aged ministry group, C20, as well as Gamma Phi Beta sorority. This summer I will be graduating from Mary Lanning with my associates in radiologic technology as well as my bachelors degree from UNK. After graduation I plan to continue my education at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. I will be obtaining a degree in their diagnostic ultrasound program. Hopefully, within the year after, I will be furthering my ultrasound education in a cardiology program.
I want to say thank you to everyone who has helped me get to where I am today. Thank you to God for setting this plan for me. To my family and friends for supporting me throughout it all. To my instructors for helping me obtain this degree the past two years. And to myself, for having the determination and will to never quit when my goals seemed impossible. You have all been a great inspiration in my life and I will hold all of my experiences close. Here’s to the sleepless nights, early mornings, and countless hours in between that got me to where I am today!

The last two years have been so wonderful and hectic all at the same time. Between the birth of my son and taking extra classes to graduate with another bachelor's degree from UNK, I am thrilled to be nearing the end of this journey. Currently looking at options at a couple different facilities in Boise. Blessed to have been a part of this program and meeting some amazing people.
I need to say thank you to my amazing wife. She has been my rock this whole time and she has always been there to help me after the countless late night's of studying and clinical work. She also gave me the best son anyone could ever ask for. He is the most fun and I can't wait to have more free time after graduation to play with him and take him hiking.

happy to announce I will continue my employment with them post graduation!

Congratulations to the Mary Lanning school of Radiologic Technology class of 2023! This class have all earned an Associate’s degree from Mary Lanning and Bachelor’s degrees from either Hastings College or UNK. We are so happy to have agreements with both institutions for this opportunity.
Last week our Hastings students recognized and thanked a technologist of their choosing with the annual Apple Award. This award is given at each campus annually to a technologist that they feel was a great teacher throughout their clinical experience, welcoming to the clinical site, approachable and friendly. They chose Shelby Miller for this honor. Shelby recently returned to Radiology from IT and is the new Imaging Manager! She is doing fantastic things and the seniors took notice. Congrats Shelby! The school appreciates your hard work and knowledge you share with our students.
Have a happy and safe Independence Day!
