Village Players Of Hatboro Open 77th Season The community theater group performs several shows of "The Creature Creeps" starting Friday night.

HOLLY NEWMAN (Daisy Von Blitzen) has made theatre a passion since the age of five. From a little munchkin from Munchkin Land to the beloved Tracy Turnblad from Hairspray and DePinna from You Can’t Take it With You, Holly has worked tirelessly to bring characters to life! Creature Creeps is Holly’s first production at The Village Players of Hatboro, and she would like to thank the cast and crew for welcoming her back into the beautiful world of theatre after taking four long years off from the stage!

JAMES KIRKWOOD (Donald Von Blitzen) is very happy to be appearing in his first Village Players of Hatboro production with his lovely bride, Joan. Thanks to Ed and Autumn for this opportunity. Kudos to a cast and crew of crazy people.

CAST REVEAL: THE CREATURE CREEPS

RYAN KREMP (Frank Sterling) is starring in his 7th show on the VPH stage. He has previously starred in Suite Surrender (Francis), No Exit (Valet), Rumors (Glenn Cooper), Witness for the Prosecution (Dr. Wyatt), You Can’t Take It With You (Tony Kirby), and Manuscript (Dave). He also helped direct VPH’s Crimes of the Heart, The Tell-Tale Farce, and Psycho Night at the Paradise Lounge. Additionally, he has been on stage at Newtown Theater starring in their production of Laughter on the 23rd Floor (Lucas). Ryan wishes the cast and crew good luck, and thanks his friends, family, and girlfriend for all their love and support. He also sends love to his #1 fan.

KAILEY LABOVITZ (Babsy Ballou) is very excited to be Babsy in this production of Creature Creeps at the Village Players. She recently worked with Village Players as a stage manager on both Equivocation and Days of Wine and Roses as well as playing Rheba in You Can’t Take It With You and Vera in She Kills Monsters. She also played Logainne Schwartz in the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at Sine Timore Theater. Kailey Studied Music Education and Vocal Performance at Temple University and currently works as a music teacher in Philadelphia. She wants to thank her family, friends, and the cast and crew of Creature Creeps for supporting her through this show!

LESLIE BRADLEY (Gretchen Twitchill) has grown rather fond of creepy, ol’ Gretchen and her odd Slavic-ish accent. She has appeared at VPH in various character roles (Leslie, not Gretchen. That would be weird.), including a cop, a Scot, and a drunk actress in Rumors, Witness For the Prosecution, and You Can't Take It With You, respectively. It has been her pleasure and privilege to work with her daughter, Autumn Bradley, who has proven to be a first-rate assistant director.

CHRISTOPHER DEWITT (Mord) has been a busy boy at VPH. He returned to the theater as Donald in You Can't Take It With You. Since then, he has appeared as Henry Whitford in The Tell-Tale Farce, Jim Hungerford in Days of Wine and Roses, and Chuck in Psycho Night at the Paradise Lounge. He is looking forward to playing Mr. Brooks in VPH's next production, Little Woman, and taking on the role of Assistant Director for the March production of Arcadia. Chris dedicates this and every performance to the memory of his husband, Ian, who will always be his biggest fan.

ALAIR DIREMIGIO (Shtunken Brothers/ The Creature) is an actor based in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Alair is grateful not only to make his VPH debut, but also to perform alongside his identical brothers, Blair, Clair, and D'lair Diremigio, who are seldom seen in the same room together. Favorite past roles include E.B. White/Lurvy in Charlotte's Web, East/Phil in Almost, Maine, and Cheswick in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. You can also find him in the upcoming indie films Webelo and Curtain Call. His heart goes out to the cast & crew, to his PA and NJ folks, and to you!

Seen occasionally at VPH and Town and Country Players, Mary loves supporting the arts, reading, and spending time with friends. APHRODITE BISWAS (Olga Zitzen) is thrilled to be a part of her second VPH production and her second onstage stint in the U.S. with The Creature Creeps! She debuted with Days of Wine and Roses earlier this year and is super excited to join this spectacular team of actors, directors, and crew! She sends tons of love to her friends and family for their support and encouragement that keeps her going and claims that they will love this amazingly bizarre show!

JOAN KIRKWOOD (Maritza) For Joan, one of the great joys of returning to the stage of VPH has been the very inventive and collaborative humor of this talented team of actors and dedicated crew. And to play opposite her dear real-life husband, Jim, is a wish come true. Favorite productions over the years include Fools and S*x Please, We're Sixty! at VPH; Tales for Nightmares, The Hollow, and the One-Act Festivals at Town and Country Players; and Lettice & Lovage and Almost, Maine in Pemberton, NJ.

LAURA BUTTENBUSCH (Heidi Zitzen) is beyond delighted to join this extremely silly show! Favorite credits include Barefoot in the Park (Corie), I Ought to Be in Pictures (Libby), Moon Over Buffalo (Eileen), Fox on the Fairway (Louise), and Drinking Habits 1 and 2 (Sister Mary Catherine/Kate). Tons of love to family, friends, and fur babies Violet and Fia! This performance is dedicated to Lynn. Plus est en vous!

Colleen Brand is a local Hatboro artist. She’s been painting for over 25 years and specializes in abstract acrylic painting. She teaches continuing education art classes at a local high school and plans to start teaching online art classes soon, too!

Colleen's original paintings and jewelry will be displayed and sold in the lobby throughout the run of The Creature Creeps (9/6-9/21).
