CCC Prison Ministry would like to thank everyone that joined in for the Christmas care packages for the prison ministry. Care Packages were delivered on today.

Now that we have gotten Christmas packages done, Care Packages will go out every 3 months.

Can you believe that Christmas is just around the corner. Isn’t it a joyful moment when any of us receive a gift? For an MDOC resident who is away from home and family, Christmas morning will look very different than years gone by and the celebration they have now. This year we would love to collect enough items for each resident who is living in a Mississippi department of corrections state facility to receive a Christmas gift. Each gift bag will be delivered to a residence just before Christmas last year at CMC if we had Christmas caroling going on and much joy to share as a hygiene gift bag were handed out! It was a really special time. Below you will find a list of items for each bag which could act as a shopping list of sorts have fun would it be, if groups, families, or friends could join our organization. This is a tangible way to show love during the Christmas season. If your organization, group, or family is able to participate please reach out to CCC prison ministry And let us know you plan to be a part of things and the supplies they can anticipate. Full bags or items for bags can be dropped off at Community Christian Church 178Old Airport Rd., Hattiesburg, MS 39401 between November 15 and December 20, please let Pastor Samantha Freeman know when they might expect your items. if a group would like to ship bulk items, the shipping address can be obtained from above. We look forward to delivering the bags and making Christmas special for everyone this year we would encourage you to consider having a Christmas bag for someone at MDOC state facility could become part of your Christmas tradition.

Christmas bags consist of the following gift placed in a gallon size Ziploc bag:
One pair of white crew socks, 30 pieces of hard candy they are individually wrapped in place in a smaller Ziploc bag, clear shampoo with tape over the top to keep it from spilling, clear deodorant, females can have three small no metallic hair ornaments (the women live at CMCF and there are approximately 1000 women), an optional Christmas card or note from the group, church, or organization that created the bag.
