What's better than acupuncture and sound bowl healing together? Acupuncture and sound healing under the full moon, of course!

Randi Helfand, Licensed Acupuncturist, and Mindie Hung (Sound Healing for Well-being by Mindie Hung), Certified Vibrational Sound Therapy Licensed Practitioner, are excited to offer an outdoor small group workshop bringing these two healing modalities together.

Summer is the height of Yang (fire, heat, strength, movement, masculine) in Chinese Medicine, as is the Full Moon. June's Full Moon is the perfect time to harness the intensity of that Yang energy while creating balance by simultaneously nurturing Yin (cool, deep, rest, feminine) energy through acupuncture and sound healing.

The workshop will start out with Mindie giving each participant an on-body sound bowl experience to begin the process of deep relaxation. While you lie back and relax on a yoga mat or blanket (beach chair is a possibility too, if you can't lie flat), you'll then be emersed in a healing sound bath while Randi gives each person an acupuncture treatment to nourish Yin and balance the powerful Yang essense of the season. With the acupuncture and sound healing together, we expect this workshop to provide a deeply restful and rejuvenating experience.

Free drive-thru PCR testing will be provided 7 days a week from 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. beginning Jan. 20. Pre-registration is encouraged: https://www.ineedacovid19test.com/

Results will typically be provided within 48 hours. No health insurance or ID is needed. This site is currently scheduled to be in place through Feb. 7, 2022 unless an extension is approved by HHS.

Delaware County has been selected by the Pennsylvania Department of Health to be the host county for a new large-scale COVID-19 testing site for the Pennsylvania Southeast Community Health District, which includes Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lancaster, Montgomery, and Schuylkill counties.

The COVID-19 drive-thru testing site, located at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby will be operated under the direction of the Health and Human Services’ Increasing Community Access to Testing Team (ICATT), in coordination with the County of Delaware and Trinity Mid-Atlantic/Mercy Fitzgerald. The Delaware County location was selected because it is in an area of the state with a large population and a significant increase in COVID-19 cases and testing needs.

“This high-volume, high-throughput site, now under the direction of the ICATT team and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, can provide approximately 1,000 tests per day and 7,000 tests per week,” said Delaware County Board of Health Chair and the County’s COVID-19 Task Force Director, Rosemarie Halt. “This will allow Delaware County and our COVID-19 Task Force to address the high demand for testing during a time of high transmission of the highly contagious Omicron variant throughout the region.”

While double masking is most effective when the surgical mask is beneath the cloth mask, we will provide surgical masks to wear over top in the event you show up in only a cloth mask. If you're already wearing a surgical mask beneath your cloth mask, or have a filter in your cloth mask, just let us know.
