The final resting place, an alcove in the beautiful Church of St. Thomas of Villanova, now houses the Servant of God, Fr. Bill Atkinson in a stunning sarcophagus. This sacred piece was thoughtfully designed, fabricated and installed by our talented team here at St. Jude Liturgical Arts Studio.

We are honored to be a part of this sacred journey, preserving the spiritual heritage and craftsmanship that our studio is known for. 🙏🏼

A New Resting Place for a Servant of God On June 14, in a ceremony presided over by Archbishop Pérez, the mortal remains of Fr. Bill Atkinson were moved to a dedicated space in the parish church of St. Thomas of Villanova.

Remains of Delaware County priest considered for sainthood reinterred at Villanova University chapel Father Bill Atkinson, an Upper Darby, Pennsylvania native, taught thousands of students at Monsignor Bonner before his death in 2006.

St. Jude Liturgical Arts Studio was honored to be part of the final resting of Servant of God, Fr. Bill Atkinson, OSA, and the reinterment of his remains at Villanova Chapel. Our studio collaborated with the Augustinian Fathers on the design, fabrication, and installation of the marble sarcophagus, ensuring a dignified resting place that harmonizes with the existing marble furnishings of this beautiful Gothic church.

We join the community in prayer for his swift ascension to Sainthood. Fr. Bill Atkinson was a model of faith, accepting his cross and offering his sacrifices to the Lord. God bless Fr. Bill Atkinson. May his soul and all the souls of the faithfully departed rest in peace. Amen.

✨Co-Founder of the DiCocco Family St. Jude Shop our very own Norma Evelyn (Falini) DiCocco of Glen Mills, PA at age 94 went to meet her Lord and his Blessed Mother on June 12th✨Her picture above represents Norma when she established the DiCocco Family St. Jude Shop in 1965.
Norma DiCocco was a proud member of the Greatest Generation, a fearless entrepreneur, a generous mother, a lover of her Catholic Faith, and an inspired and inspiring person. Born in South Philadelphia on June 20, 1929, she grew up surrounded by family, a value she passed on to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

A vivacious high school student, Norma supported her older cousins fighting in WWII. Family legends tell of her meeting her husband Lou on the dance floor of the Starlite Ballroom in Wildwood, NJ. They married in 1952 and raised five children in the faith they cherished.

Known as the “Lady with the hat in church,” Norma attended Sunday Mass with elegance and devotion, always wearing an elegant hat and sharing her beautiful soprano voice. Her faith and entrepreneurial spirit led to the founding of the St. Jude Shop in 1965, the first religious article and church supply store in Delaware County.

After Lou’s passing in 1994, Norma continued to guide her family and the business with tenacity, quick laughter, and simple beauty. She cherished celebrating with her grandchildren, attending their events, and sharing special moments.

Her favorite scripture: “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived, what God has prepared for those who love him.” - 1 Corinthians 2:9
