Wow! Over the last 3 days we cleared all the antiques and treasures out of the Ranch! Thanks to those who came and supported our sale and to those who came back to shop again and again (you know who you are!) To our friends and family who helped us prepare for the sale, we’re still kind of in shock that we were able to pull it off! It’s a bittersweet moment and we’ve been so busy I don’t think we’ve had much time to reflect on the magnitude of it all. We’re so happy that all the stuff found new homes with people who will look at it and be reminded of fond memories of the Ranch and of our dad. Many of the items, barstools, RANCH letters from the front of the building have found a new home at a ranch in Livermore where they have many more good years of use ahead of them. ❤️

As many of you know, the owner of the Ranch Christo Sarantakis passed away in the afternoon of Dec. 30 surrounded by his family. For the last 20+ years the customers and employees of the Ranch were not only Christo’s livelihood but his social life as well. He welcomed customers into the Ranch as it was his own home and treated his employees like family. So many of you have shared stories of how he personally helped or looked out for you when you needed it most. His presence at the restaurant has been greatly missed over these last weeks and we give thanks to our amazing employees for keeping the place afloat so that our long time loyal customers could dine there before we closed the doors. If you’d like to share additional stories or memories of Christo please feel free to post them here or private message us, as hearing these memories will help us grieve this tremendous loss.
