Today, I heard from a friend that encountered a unique situation over the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Her daughter came home from college and arrived late Wednesday evening (Thanksgiving Eve). The next day, Thanksgiving, her daughter woke up not feeling well. It appeared she had a bronchial Infection. Their doctors’ office was closed until Monday. Other options were long lines at a quick care or an ER (which seemed like “overkill”).

She was able to consult with a Physician online for $32 ($72 if you want a video consult) and get a prescription sent to a 24-hour pharmacy. All this done quickly, discretely, and easily on Thanksgiving morning. I reminds me of a quote that I was told was attributed to Jeff Bezos (Amazon Founder), “The only thing better than cheap is easy”. In this case, I think he nailed both, cheap and easy with this new Amazon service.
I have included the link above (just in time for the Holiday “Cold and Flu” season).

I know that this is not the answer for all medical needs or situations, nor should it be. However, I wish this service had been around when my children were young and had an ear infection or sore throat over a long weekend. It would have given them, my wife and I much needed relief without waiting until Monday to get into see their regular Physician.

I think this is worth sharing with your Family, Friends, and Clients, so I am sharing it with you (my friends).
