We are thrilled to announce that Appalachian Coffee is offering service once again to our beloved community. For those who may have missed it, we encourage you to read the article in The Blue Ridge Now for more details.

Please bear in mind that our menu will initially be limited as we gear up, but rest assured, we'll be swiftly expanding our offerings. We sincerely appreciate your patience as we fine-tune our operations, staff, and equipment. By Thursday, March 14th, we'll be operating at full capacity!

We want to thank you for the 1000s of kind and encouraging comments these last few weeks. It’s quite overwhelming. Actually, it has been hard to finish packing because many have come by to say hello and give support.

Still, we managed to load up the last of our equipment today. We look forward to unpacking and setting up a new location soon. Although we do not have any solid immediate plans we are exploring several promising options.

However, a big announcement is coming soon and we can’t wait to share this exciting news.

Again, this community is filled with kind and beautiful people. We loved serving you and providing a home away from home.

Today closes a beautiful chapter we’ve spent at our Laurel Park location over the last 5 years.

We feel so thankful for the opportunity to have served you coffee, but more importantly we have felt honored to provide a space that cultivated community, nurtured friendships and inspired ideas!

We have loved reading so many messages over the last few weeks on how our coffee shop has been so special to you.

Thank you for taking the time to share that with us!

We continue to prayerfully consider our next steps and will keep you posted on our future plans. For now, we’ll continue to offer coffee and some limited merchandise online.

We have just a few days left at our Laurel Park location. Our final day of operation is this Friday, February 3. Be sure to grab some App Coffee merch this week while we still have them!!

We can’t thank y’all enough for your words of encouragement over the last few weeks. It has been so wonderful to hear how Appalachian Coffee Co. has impacted so many of you and has been a part of your lives!

We really appreciate all of the many suggestions on ideas of where to relocate. We have received so many suggestions in fact that we are simply unable to respond to everyone!

Please know that we have read all of your messages and are thoughtfully considering each one. There is much to consider when relocating a business. We will certainly keep y’all posted via social media and email of our future plans.

We wanted express how grateful we are for all your love and support over these last few days.

We literally have had 1000’s of encouraging comments and acts of kindness. It was our goal to create an atmosphere where people felt comfortable to create and grow relationships. And from the many stories that have been shared these last few days I believe that has happened.

Thank you for taking the time to express what Appalachian Coffee has meant to you. I hope to hear more!

We are encouraged even more to find a new home for Appalachian Coffee. We have received many calls and emails suggesting possible locations. Our team is exploring all opportunities. Thank you for your support in our next chapter.

Dear Friends, we have some news to share.
It is with sadness to inform you that our 5th Avenue coffee shop location will be closing on February 3rd, 2023. Our lease is up in February and our landlord is going in a different direction that does not include Appalachian Coffee Company.

Please know that we are actively looking for other options to move to a new location. At this time, we do not have any details to share with you, but hopefully we can in the near future. Our online store will remain open, and we will continue to supply our many vendors throughout the area.

I cannot stress enough how proud and grateful I am to the Appalachian Coffee staff. Over the next month please join me in thanking them for their hard work, love for our customers, and desire to create an atmosphere where all are welcomed and feel at home. These wonderful people not only helped us make it through the pandemic but enabled us to thrive once we got through it. Our business was healthier post-COVID than ever before, and it is all because of our talented, joyful, and hardworking staff.

I am also grateful for our wonderful customers. Our goal was to create a gathering place where stories were told, special moments were shared, and friendships grew over a great cup of coffee. I think we did that together. Thank you. This coffee shop was a dream come true.

So….what now?

We hope to find a new home for Appalachian Coffee and we are actively searching and looking for new spaces. We hope to be able to announce to the public in the near future what our options are. But for now, this chapter in Appalachian Coffee is ending and we have faith that a new and wonderful home awaits. I look forward to what God has in store for us and the rest of the Appalachian Coffee family.
