I had the privilege of bagging care packages for our homeless community of L.A on Christmas  morning. There were dozens of volunteers and truckloads of clothing, toys, and shoes, which were distributed to shelters in San Pedro, Downtown LA, and to those without shelters in Skid Row.

This was the 32nd annual donation drive by South Bay ALANO club. I was especially moved to learn that most of volunteers were in recovery from alcoholism or substance addiction. I grew up in a home with alcoholism and lost my brother to an opioid overdose last year, so working with these strong people amidst their life transformation was truly healing and inspiring. Wishing them all much support, resilience, and success in their journey 🙏✨

I’ll be holding a drive for them next winter and happy to start a volunteer list if you feel inspired to join us. 💜
