Hello everyone!

In recent news, I (Uriah) was one of the fortunate people to be elected to the Conover Farmers Market Board. And I need some help with something.

There have been a few obstacles the CFM Board are trying to navigate. I'll highlight a few here to see if anyone is able to contribute.

In the short-term, we're looking for even more farmers to add! We have several as vendors, a few more applying, but would love to see even more. Especially ones that have Apples, micro-greens, or meats. But any referrals are great! Consider tagging them!

Secondly, shoot over to the CFM page (linked above) and follow/like the page. Our biggest push is to re-grow the market from the shrinkage that occurred this year due to our website, socials, and other initiatives being near-abandoned for the whole season.

I am also looking for fantastic non-profit organizations to have during our season to raise awareness in the community and boost the help that is out there for people.

To start, I recently met with Andy Matusko with the CAST for Kids Foundation. They are having an event on October 12th where they go out on Lake Hickory and fish with children that have special needs! It's an excellent way to give some kiddos fun memories and support. Additionally, Red Bird Cake Studio, LLC will be donating goodies that day so that they can have an awesome lunch over by the lake!

What do we need?
-Tell any families that may have interest in these events
-Volunteers to man the event
-People who can temporarily donate their boat/time to put smiles on these kids faces!

It’s that time again! The Hickory American Legion Fair is officially open! We have partnered with Willow Tree Bakery this year and have expanded our booth to provide a large array of sweet treats for your liking! Come see us at the Exhibition Hall on your immediate left after the ticket booth!

We will be here until Monday night! Collectively, we will be offering gourmet cupcakes, cream horns, caramel apples, chocolate dipped items, apple hand pies, brownies, oatmeal cream pies, and so much more!
