PAL at Jones Beach Fishing Station Field 10 - May 22, 2024 Fishing at Field 10 for PAL Kids sponsored by the Jones Beach Fishing Station at Field 10.
Tomorrow is our Annual Fishing trip at Jones Beach Fishing Station. Please read below from Ed Walsh, the man that has made this possible for our community for all these years.
Tomorrow at 6 PM, we will gather at the Jones Beach State Park fishing piers for a very special event: the Nassau County Police Athletic League's Special Needs Unit Fishing Trip. For over 12 years, this annual tradition has brought together our community to celebrate and support these incredible individuals, offering them a joyful and memorable experience by the water. What many may not know is that this event has always been a tribute to my late father, Edward Walsh, a dedicated Nassau County police officer, renowned fisherman with many incredible catches, and the former Patrolman Director for the Police Athletic League. I have never mentioned this before, simply because organizing this trip has always felt like the right thing to do. My father's legacy of service and compassion continues to inspire us, and this event is a heartfelt way to honor his enduring spirit. We look forward to seeing you there for an evening of fun, friendship, and fishing!
Another fine season for our Track program!

Tonight was our annual Cops vs Kids Basketball game. Every year we honor our teammate Chris Garske who passed away a few years ago. Chris’ family came and donated $500 towards anyone who can’t afford to pay to play.
We also honored our Coach Todd Koehler who passed away over the summer. Todd’s family came and we showed them and everyone a plaque we had made honoring Todd. His sons held the plaque in the team photos.
Thank you to the Nassau County Police Dept who donate their time every year to come play.
