For this week’s , we’re highlighting Levi Reese, high school teacher and AAAIP member. He and therapy dog Maura have a special backstory: starting at 9 weeks of age, Maura was trained partly by Levi’s veterinary science class.

Including students in this process is a great way to inspire and guide young animal lovers to the path of AAI. Levi said his students saw a need for more mental health support for students at the school and he saw an opportunity for a hands-on learning experience for his students along the way.
