The story takes place in the year 2044, 20 years after a nuclear explosion destroyed most of the earths inhabitants. The only survivors of the nuclear explosion were 2 underground societies, one known as the Elites and the other as the Commons. Several children from both communities got super powers following the nuclear blast.
It is finally safe to emerge from their underground cities and these children who got super powers are now adults. Aang (Lyla Anderson), the leader of the Elites and the most powerful Super among them, is determined, along with her posse Toph (Kayden Maltezo), Zuko (Katie Simon), and Katara (Eden Brewer), to take over the Commons community. However the Commons community, ruled by the kupuna, is protected by Supers such as Superman (Malu Rubin-Lee), Batgirl (Tatianna Vares-Kanaele), The Incredibles (Garret De Soto, Zaira Hahn, Jenea Gomez, Ari Sugioka-Kai), Master Splinter (Ezra Sukoka-Kai), Thor (Abrea Hahn), and Iron Girl (Stella Sundt). There is no way to get into this tight knit community... until the Elites figure out how to turn one of the Common's own Supers against them.
Will the Elites win and take over the Common's community? Or will the Common's Supers find a way to bring the traitor back and save the day? Find out on December 1!
The concept for the "Super Heroes" story was conceived by our Summer 2023 Acting class. The script was written by Angela Woods with the assistance of Acting students Zaira Hahn and Tatianna Vares-Kanaele, as well as Maika Woods.
