These are test samples from a basic printer, but wow did I smile when I saw that the overall designs worked out in print rather just on a computer screen

I think sketches look much better in-person, but maybe seeing pictures will inspire other people to try. I drew as a kid, then not again until about 2006.

For anyone who might be in town

On February 17th from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Hilton Head Library I am hosting a group called Visual Artists’ Support Network. The goal is to provide guidance, encouragement, aid and/or assistance to any visual artists who wishes to discuss features of their craft OTHER THAN how to market it. So if you’re interested, come by with a piece of art you’d like to share. Or, if for now you are interested but only wish to be an active observer, you’re welcome too.

Digital art based on a series of washi tape pictures I made several years ago. While going through a box of my archived work the other day I came across the piece which ended up being what you see. So ,early Merry Christmas 🎁 and maybe by next year I’ll have a few more designs and can offer cards or something

This is one of my favorite phases of developing a picture: when it takes enough shape that I know I can step back from it, take a pause for reflection or whatnot, and most importantly believe that I will return to it w/o losing momentum. I don’t know how many of us pause to savor what we’ve done. I usually forget to and try to plow through for completion . Well, it’s time for a mini-celebration. *tape
