While Susan got her start as a K -12 music teacher many years ago, she has been the Director of Traditional Music here for 7 years. Her lifelong passion with music has given her one of her proudest accomplishments. In 2019, she took 16 members of the Chancel Choir to sing at Carnegie Hall in New York City. She was born in New Jersey but through her education and her musical positions at numerous Methodist churches she has lived all over the United States. She has degrees in music education, studied at Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary and has a certification in Music Ministry from Southwestern College in Kansas. Talented in many ways, Susn can also beautifully play the organ when needed. She is happiest at work when she makes music come alive for the choir and the congregation and lets her creative juices flow. Susan does her best work in the morning, fueled possibly by her favorite treat of Hershey’s dark chocolate. When she isn’t working she likes to read and travel. Her favorite vacation spot is anywhere her family is. She has 3 children Jeffrey, Amy and Mark. Mark recently married Cara which gave Susan a daughter-in-law. Susan also has a son-in-law, Matthew, and 2 grandchildren, Sawyer (6) and Jonathan (4). Next time you see Susan, let her know how much you appreciate the talents she shares with our church and the impact she has made on so many people.

𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐟𝐟 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭: 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐭𝐭 𝐏𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐦𝐞𝐢𝐞𝐫
Scott has been our facilities manager for almost 2 years but he is more of a jack-of-all-trades for our church. Many of you may not see Scott around the building but you do see the results of his hard work as he fixes just about anything that is broken. He started his career painting rooms in his elementary school in the summer and now you can see him painting our parsonages. He oversees our custodians but he is always willing to lend a hand and what he can’t fix he will rebuild. Scott has an impressive background as he designed, and was general contractor of a small development and built his own house, one of his proudest accomplishments. Scott is not an evening person as he prefers to work in the morning or afternoon but he does enjoy unwinding with his dogs Stella and G. When Scott isn’t with his dogs, you could see him with his wife, Kamala or his children Kelsy and Conner. At work, he is happiest when everyone works together but if you want to make him happier bring him the food he can eat everyday - ice cream. When Scott does take a vacation, he loves to travel to the Caribbean. We are so lucky that when Scott retired from his career job he chose to bless our church with his talents.

This weekend is an All Family Worship weekend which means that we give our Sunday school students and teachers the weekend off to worship together with their families in any of our 4 services!
If any of our students would like to join some of our children’s ministry team to complete a special Veteran’s day project for local veterans and enjoy some special music, please join us during the 9:30 service in the social hall! We will meet after the children’s moment as we did for children’s church.

Just a reminder - children will join their families for worship in the Sanctuary the first Sunday of each month and then have Sunday School class the remaining Sundays of that month 🙂
