Happy Summer Solstice!

Happy Summer Solstice! According to TCM, the fire element rules in summer, and symbolizes great Yang activity. During summer, focus on the Heart and Small Intestine, as well as the mind and spirit. The direction and movement are south, with emotions of joy and vocals of laughter, and the taste is bitter. Hydration is always important, and especially so in this season. In many parts of the country, we're experiencing heat waves, and eating cooling foods like mung beans and watermelon could be a good addition.

We are happy to announce that we now offer BLS/CPR classes to the community here at Four Winds Acupuncture. Classes offered with certification under American Heart Association, the leading BLS course in the country. You can sign up for a re-certification class this Thursday right on our booking website. Courses needed for first time certification are also available, just reach out to us about availability! We look forward to making our community a safer and more educated place to live!

I have been a patient of Dr. Caron's for two years and has helped me with several issues I experienced. One area he has began helping me with is improving my kidney function. Upon feeling my pulse he said this is an area that needs attention. I couldn't tell if I had any kidney problems because I didn't feel any symptoms but trusted him. Last week I got my blood test for my annual physical that sure enough showed I had a less than average kidney function for my age of 67. Dr. Caron was spot on. I thought this was truly amazing he could identify such a condition by feeling my pulse. Wow....he's the best!!

Once again, Jean Caron, DOM, figured out why my back and joints were suddenly ailing me again. After consulting with me and asking questions, he confirmed what he already suspected: kidneys being overworked due to some supplements I’m taking. To test his theory, he inserted two needles into my cheek, and the pain in my back (my kidney, really) went away. So I laid down and he proceeded to insert perhaps 10-15 more needles in various places, all involving my kidneys and small intestine. No drugs, no invasive procedures, just results. After almost four years as my primary physician, I must once again recommend him to you for whatever ails you. Btw, his name is not pronounced like it reads. It’s French...so don’t call him “Jeen”🤣
