Program Description:
College athletes have been able to profit off of their names, images and likenesses for nearly two years after being prohibited from doing so throughout the history of the NCAA. This panel will discuss how this change has affected the college athletics industry and the legal issues it has presented. Join Debbie Spander (President, Insight Sports Advisors), Tye Gonser (Partner, Weinberg Gonser Frost LLP), Jill Pilgrim (Managing Attorney, Pilgrim & Associates Arbitration, Law & Mediation LLC) and Lauren J Preston (Senior Director, Office of Athletic Compliance at the University of Southern California), for a discussion on NIL rights in college athletics.
