Had a great conversation in NY with someone about this piece yesterday. She was amazed that although there are deep darks in the clouds, they still appear light and airy. I love that because that what I was trying to do in this piece. Come and see it in person today in Gracie Square!

Marshes have always been compelling to me, especially when the sky is putting on a show! I love breathing in the smell of the ocean, as the greens of the marsh lead me back into the color, the wonder, and the joy!

This piece is not subtle or quiet! I tried to capture that moment when the sun is behind the upper clouds, making that orange glow pop between the dark purple clouds below and the mountains full of color below! So powerful! Nature is incredible!
