Hello Kahala 👋🏼 We are excited for our new Kahala Branch that just opened today in the Kahala Office Building, outside of Kahala Mall. Our newest branch kicked off this morning with a short blessing, and the branch is now open Monday – Friday, 8 am – 4 pm.

On Friday, August 9, we closed our Kaimuki Branch after nearly six decades. Mahalo to our loyal customers and we hope to see you at our Kahala Branch that will now serve the East Oahu area.

Many of the small businesses near our Main Branch have been heavily impacted by the recent power outages that forced them to close for multiple days. 1 in 6 adults in Hawaii struggle with reading and writing. is an organization that works directly with various communities throughout the state to help children and adults learn how to read and write. One of the most notable programs is their Bookmobile, which you may have seen driving around the island! The Bookmobile provides free books and educational materials to underserved communities. Islander Sake Brewery is Hawaii’s first local sake brewery, bringing the taste and culture of Japan here to the islands! Started by Tama Hirose and Chiaki Takahashi, they decided to pivot their careers into something more exciting with their sake business. Since their opening, they have expanded to a restaurant on North King Street, right near our Main Branch, and a brewery and izakaya at the Mauna Kea Resort on the Big Island.
