is a parent-run competitive swim team of 80+ swimmers which is a group member of Hawaiian Swimming, the delegate for the Local Swim Committee of the national USA Swimming Association. We are a 501(c)3 non- profit organization based at the Makiki District Park pool with a satellite pool at the Hongwanji Mission School. Our Philosophy

wth and development of our youth and seeks to help develop valuable, character-building life-skills that reach beyond the water into all aspects of the swimmers? Our swimmers are grouped by age and ability to create an environment in which swimmers of all levels may develop to their fullest potential, achieve increasing levels of success, and have fun whether they are beginners or advanced athletes. Swimming can be time-consuming but need not be life-consuming. Parents and swimmers alike support the notion that swimming is a complement to a child?s development. Coaches, parents and swimmers know that even though the hardest worker in the pool does not always win the race, their commitment and persistence will enable them to achieve their best, both in and out of the pool. This lesson will be of immeasurable worth, not only in each athletes swimming career, but also throughout their school years, and throughout his/her life. Our History:

Splash Aquatics was founded in August of 2009. While a relatively young club, Splash Aquatics has had a successful history of placing within the Top 5 out of approximately 30+ USA Swim Teams in the State of Hawaii. Splash Aquatics has been successful in developing a number of our swimmers who have qualified and participated in the Western Regional Zone Championships with Team Hawaii over the past 3 years. In addition over the past 3 years, Splash Aquatics swimmers Victoria Zukeran, Grant Zukeran, Greg Zukeran, Kyle Sakai, Michael Sakai, Gabriel Hanaoka, Sydney Kimura, Kelcie Kimura, Caitlyn Whang have qualified as Senior Sectional swimmers which is the next level above the Western Region Zones. In fact, for the first time in the history of our club, we recently sent our Senior coach along with 5 swimmers (Victoria, Grant, Greg, Kyle and Gabe) to the Senior Sectionals in March 2013. A notable accomplishment and honor by one of our swimmers occurred in the spring of 2010 when then 12 year old, Victoria Zukeran was selected by USA Swimming to participate in an elite training camp, the USA Swimming Western Zone Select Camp which was by invitation only to 16 female and 16 male swimmers from across the Western Zone which encompasses 13 Western States.

But the fastest way to learn something new is to throw yourself in the mix and to figure it out through trial and error.

So put it in your head that you ARE ready!

Myself and @swimlessonshawaii are putting on a pool strength/endurance session on Saturday 12/9 at the Palama Settlement Pool from 2-4pm.

At this training, you’ll learn how to use your breath to control your mind and body while performing a variety of exercises in the pool while holding dumbbells.

This session will create a stressful scenario and teach you how to stay calm even under duress.

Then we’ll finish with an exhilarating game of @underwater_torpedo_league to continue to test your breathhold and endurance!

And that’s how it ended!

Thanks to for a great meet! The 43rd annual ended with Splash in 6th with 354 points - a solid standing! Congratulations to all you swimmers who braved the wind and rain, swam a school meet, didn’t feel 💯 but swam anyway, and everyone in between. We saw great swims and great heart out there! The most incredible thing you can do is keep showing up for yourself. You’ll never regret it - and we’ll never stop being proud of you.

- SAVAGE - ¥ ¥ Sometimes when you have tigers all around the same size in high numbers things start to ramp up. We’ve been seeing this more intense behaviour recently on the north shore of oahu, where it use to be a select few individuals it has now turned into a large amount of new sharks which haven’t been ID before in the area. This could be a more competitive reaction due to the increased number of individual tigers or potentially the lack of the larger sharks we use to have to keep them in line 🤷🏽. P.s. This is just my own stab at figuring it out and shouldn’t be taken as fact

Our favourite Lithuanian won the women’s 100m breaststroke at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London at only 15 years old!

This made Ruta the youngest Lithuanian athlete in history to win an Olympic gold medal.
