Volunteer Day ๐ฟ May 18th at 9 am ๐ฅฐ - Volunteer at Kaha Garden Project.
This project is a living example of how individual homeowners can help improve the local environment through native vegetation and xeriscape gardens. The project replaced grass and invasive species along 150 yards of stream bank with native Hawaiian plants that can be used for soil stabilization, biofiltration, and water conservation. Visitors can walk the garden pathways to see how plantings might appear in their backyards.

Our hike hugs the wild coast, taking us over beaches and rocky shorelines for about 3 kilometers (2 miles) before reaching a small hilltop promontory with epic views in all directions. We will clean up the beach as we hike.
