Over 60 first-year students are starting their Chaminade journeys as members of the Apo Haumana Program, which was designed to help first-year students transition to college life. Today’s retreat kicks off a series of workshops and off-campus excursions, where the Class of 2028 will have the opportunity to build connections with peers and faculty outside of the classroom.

We are grateful for our partnership with Bank of Hawaii and their College Assistance Program (CAP), which allows its employees to get back on the path to obtaining their four-year undergraduate degree with tuition reimbursement. This year, thanks to CAP, we welcomed four BOH employees to our Chaminade alumni 'ohana. Congratulations to Rita Aponte, Ryan Chang, Cindy Corpuz and KerryLynn Vea who earned their bachelor’s degrees in business administration!

Aloha from Ohio! Kendra Sia, Director of Annual Fund, had the chance to meet with Dr. Mandac ‘72 and his wife Cheryle for breakfast in Cleveland. It is always special catching up with our alumni ohana, especially when it’s across the country! 💙
Dr. Mandac earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from in 1972.

At Chaminade, many of us have been guided and supported by someone we consider extraordinary such as, the everlasting Marlene Baker ‘72, MS ‘88. For more than 50 years, Marlene was a member of the Chaminade ‘ohana, but is best remembered for her role as a confidante, mentor and second mother to many. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she influenced and the deep bonds she formed with all who crossed her path.

- You might know Tristyn from HGTV’s new hit series ‘Renovation Aloha’ 🌺 Did you know that she’s a proud Chaminade alumna?
Tristyn earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in counseling psychology from Chaminade in 2011 and 2014. Along the way, she was nurtured by mentors like Dr. Darren Iwamoto, who challenged her to be the best version of herself. She also made lifelong friends at Chaminade, one of them being her best friend and business parter Chelsea Torres. Now, she and her husband Kamohai are real estate investors and stars of the new series ‘Renovation Aloha.’ Check out their Instagram pages for helpful tips and resources!

Please join us in wishing a lifetime of happiness to Clarke ‘17 and Vanessa ‘18 Antonio, who recently celebrated their wedding! 💍
Clarke and Vanessa’s love story began here on our Kalaepohaku campus. (Swipe to see photos of them performing with the Filipino Club at International Extravaganza 🥹) Clarke graduated from Chaminade in 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology; Vanessa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology the following year. The alumni pair utilized ’s articulation agreements with and secured early admission to their respective health profession programs. Clarke graduated with his doctorate in physical therapy from ATSU-ASHS in 2020, and finished his orthopedic residency at ATSU in 2021. He currently practices at Center. Vanessa graduated with her doctorate in osteopathic medicine from ATSU-KCOM in 2022, and is currently in the Hawaii Island Family Medicine Residency program in Hilo, HI.
From the entire Chaminade ‘ohana, we wish the new Mr. and Mrs. Antonio a lifetime of joy, love and continued success!

The 66th Commencement Ceremony was extra special for the Dela Cruz ‘ohana. Mother-daughter duo Elaine ‘99, MSCP ‘03, EdD ‘24 and Victoria ‘24 Dela Cruz both walked across the Waikiki Shell stage to receive their well-deserved degrees. Victoria earned her Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Analytics and Visualization and her mother, Elaine, earned her Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership for Adaptation and Change degree.
