Brown Butter Oat—“Country bread leveled-up” is how a friend described this loaf.
Our naturally-leavened Country dough is a changing mixture of whole wheat, rye and bread flours. After mixing, we add oatmeal cooked in brown butter for added richness and complexity.
The fully-cooked starches in the oatmeal create a moist, very soft crumb and the rolled oats on the crust add a toasty, nutty flavor.
Also, due to the oatmeal inclusion, this loaf keeps exceptionally well.
Orders now live for the week.
We release reservations, one week at a time,every Tuesday at 9am.
Please choose a pickup date and time to see what’s available. Choose a pickup time that’s convenient for you. Earlier pickup times don’t give you access to more stuff.

We don’t have any specials today but we do want to get the word out to support our wonderful neighbors.

We start baking everyday around 630 in the morning and don’t finish until right before we open at 2pm.
As breads and pastries come out of the oven we are able to assess their quality, make any necessary edits and reconcile our existing orders.
If we have any “extras”, we update our inventory on TOCK so you can order them.
These are our Last Minute items and they are only available on the day of
CORRECTION!! For a single-batch of the apple pie filling you should only use 55g of lemon juice.

For the last four years, Breadshop has been incredibly fortunate to have a ridiculously talented line of individuals spearheading our holiday pie program. Beginning in 2018, and again in 2019, with Kelsey Morgan, in 2020 with Harley Tunac, and in 2021 with our current pastry chef Amanda Tabadero.
Every year we pushed ourselves to create something entirely new while increasing our production and finding the fairest way to manage demand that exceeded our capacity by at least 3 or 4 times. To say that your support and enthusiasm for these extremely limited offerings have been overwhelming would be a gross understatement.
But, like many others, the unprecedented events of the last two years have forced us to seriously take stock of our lives, what’s most important, and where we are devoting our time and energy.
So we’ve decided to take a break from pies this year!!
We will still be open Thanksgiving week and the rest of the holidays for your bread and pastry needs. We are super stoked to see dear friends and other super-talented bakers stepping out and showcasing their own talents on this little island in the middle of the Pacific, and we strongly encourage you to seek them out. Your friends and tummies will be happy!
As a token of our appreciation to you, we are sharing our apple pie recipe. Please note that the above recipe is the abbreviated version. The full, detailed version can be found in our Apple Pie highlight. Thank you for the trust you place in us by making us a part of your special occasions and everyday lives. There are few greater honors than you putting us on your table, and we would not be here without you.
Jackfruit Coconut Tapioca and Kulolo Danish
People often ask “What’s your favorite bread?” or “What’s the best thing you make?”
This is our Sesame Semolina loaf.
Often mistaken for cornmeal, durum semolina is coarser than most flours and retains the natural golden color of the grain.
In the dough, a small amount of extra-virgin olive oil and honey enhance both the color and natural sweetness, while a coating of sesame seeds highlights its nuttiness.
Excellent for all applications, we make this as both a batard and pan loaf.

Maybe nobody will get them and we’ll have a whole bunch leftover. Maybe they’ll sell out super fast and angry people will yell at us again.

As we settle into the inevitable summer slowdown, we are (slightly) adjusting our operating hours.
Perhaps more significantly, we will also be trimming our production to minimize waste.
We understand that this may make it more difficult to purchase certain items but we’ve had a lot of stuff leftover over the last month and need to respond accordingly.
We appreciate your patience and support. When things do pickup so will our production.
In the meantime, we are always available to answer any questions and to help you find what you’re looking for.

-Rum Raisin Galette with almond frangipane
-Char-Siu Galette with pickled mustard greens and sticky rice
Both are $35 each.
As with many of our items, we expect these to sell out pretty quickly. We hope to be able to add more inventory as we continue to improve and refine our process.

Due to a staff member testing positive for Covid-19, we will be CLOSED on Wednesday, 1/5.

Beginning Friday, and throughout the month of January, we will be offering our take on the French “Galette des Rois”.
This Friday, we have our classic puff pastry filled with almond frangipane and soaked raisins.
Quantities will be limited and we haven’t settled on a schedule yet so please check back for updates.
