September 30th is the Worldwide Day of Play, a day designed to encourage children and parents to turn off the TV and play together, especially outdoors. Join us on Sept. 30 for cultural games from around the world, Imagination Playground blocks, and Outdoor Adventures.

Join us as we celebrate the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival. This festival marks the end of the autumn harvest, a time to give thanks and worship the moon.

We're celebrating International Day of Peace with special activities throughout the Center. Come join the fun. ✌️

Applications are now open for our Fall Keiki Makers Market. Each vendor will feature a Fall or Halloween themed product. The event will be held on Saturday, October 21, from 11am-1pm. Register on our website www.discoverycenterhawaii.org.

Our hearts go out to all the families impacted by the devastating Maui fires. The Discovery Center wants to open our doors for play to Maui residents with families who are sheltering with friends and family on Oahu. We are committed to providing a safe space for the children and families affected by this tragedy. “The body heals with play, the mind heals with laughter, and the spirit heals with joy.”

When you are ready, we invite you to come and play. Maui residents will receive free admission with ID until Dec. 31.

We are celebrating National Friendship Day on Sunday, August 6th. Bring your bestie and receive one free child's admission per group when you mention this post.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! Join us on Sunday, July 16th as we celebrate National Ice Cream Day. 🍨
