🎨ART // Did you know MFOG is a part of Arts in Education of the Gorge and we raise funds for music programs in our schools? 🙏 We're excited to have teaching artists at MFOG from 2-4pm ready to help kids make free rad instruments!

OUR STORY // In 2014 our community lost a bright light. Matt Klee- mountain biker, musician, and community activist- died from injuries sustained in a mountain biking crash in Canada. The Matt Klee Memorial Fund was established immediately, as Matt’s family and friends looked for a way to best honor his memory. An amateur musician his entire life, they quickly realized that music would be a beautiful way to honor his spirit. A partnership was born with Arts in Education of the Gorge and other, passionate, local area musicians- and in 2015, Music Festival of the Gorge was born. This is a FREE concert series- with donations benefitting music programs in local Hood River schools. It is an event that brings community together, and honors the life of a wonderful man. We hope to see you TOMORROW 8/7 at The Ruins!

BAND SPOTLIGHT | The GROOVE CABIN // A progressive rock and roll band from Hood River, OR. Since our inception, we have spent time in mountain cabins writing and playing music that inspires us and our listeners. Influenced by our diverse tastes in music and our beautiful PNW surroundings, we play original music aimed at getting the listener up and dancing.

BAND SPOTLIGHT | HEADLINER...Swatkins and the Positive Agenda // Steve Watkins (Swatkins) is a ginger-bearded smiley keyboard guy. His music generally sounds like a good time. This exceedingly positive individual is a songwriter, producer, singer, multi-instrumentalist, and a master of the talkbox, an old-school analog effect using his larynx and a vinyl tube to shape the sound of his keyboard // We are so excited to have scored such a rad headliner this year!!
