I have served on the Realtor Image Committee as the Chair, Co-Chair, and Volunteer for the past 12 years, for the Hot Springs Board of Realtors, and also serve on the Technology Committee, and this year, the Finance Committee. We have hosted an annual Chili Cook-off for Cans for Kids which is a backpack program for Garland County School-Aged kids, who need additional food at home. We also organize a Special Olympics Fishing Derby each fall. The Fishing Derby may be my favorite event each year. The excitement in the faces of these kids makes a huge impact anyone who is part of that day. I serve as a Partner in Education at Lake Hamilton School District, This year I helped with their Career Day, which was gratifying to see young adults planning for their future. I am a member of the Lake Hamilton Alumni Association. I sponsor and volunteer for Lake Hamilton Football, Baseball, Cheerleading/Dance, Band, Kamo's Kids,Fellowship of Christian Athletes, The Bassin' Wolves Fishing Team, The Bryce Briggs 7 on 7 Tournament,Coaches Outreach, a ministry for Coaches and their families, just to name a few. If it involves kids, I love to be a part! Last, but certainly not least, we love our church. We lead a Life Group with other couples, we host our Senior High Youth Group Tribe in our home monthly, and I sing on the Worship Team. Our most recent interest in helping kids, is through "The Call", in fostering children, as our local needs are great.In 2011, I started The Adam Brown Shamrock Run, a 5K held each March to honor my classmate, the late Navy SEAL Chief (SOC) Adam Brown. We have raised hundreds of thousands since beginning. All proceeds benefit The Adam Brown Legacy Fund helping local individuals and organizations such as: Teen Challenge, for men who battle addiction, Recovery Point Ministry, to Women who battle addiction, we have helped a young child with brain cancer, a child with Cystic Fibrosis, Lake Hamilton Parent Center...the list truly goes on and on...if we hear of a need, we do what we can to fill it! I encourage anyone that I meet, to read "Fearless", by Eric Blehm, about Adam's life. A movie is on the horizon in the near future. His service, and ultimate sacrifice for our country and his own personal struggles, motivate and encourage people all over the world. I could not be more proud to see the lives impacted as a result. I could not have started the Run in his honor,it without the generosity of others.
