The Harris SAVES study is ending, but the danger of COVID-19 continues, and we truly believe that the key to stopping the spread of the virus in our communities is the continuation of prevention efforts, including routine COVID-19 testing, getting vaccinated, frequent hand washing, wearing a mask, and social distancing.⠀

What is a COVID-19 variant? All viruses change over time. Some go away, but some evolve so they can stick around. There are currently 5 variants that we know of for COVID-19 in the US, but we could see more over time.
The easiest way to protect yourself is to keep following health guidelines, like social distancing, double masking, and thoroughly washing your hands.

If you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, you can start doing some things again, like gathering indoors with other fully vaccinated friends and family without wearing a mask.
You can gather indoors with unvaccinated people from one other household (like relatives who all live together) without masks, unless any of them is at increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19. Learn more: https://bit.ly/3btJaFU.
