May is Mental Health Awareness 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
Mental health means a lot to me because I have struggled with depression in the past. I tend to overthink and I’m soooo hard on myself. I eventually got a therapist and it was literally one of the best decisions I ever made in my life. She was an unbiased listening ear that gave me sound advice and we did mental exercises that encouraged me to be more patient and gentle with myself. I still use those tactics till this day when I feel myself getting overwhelmed.
Mental Health is not a destination, but a journey. You have to work at it daily but just know that you are not alone!
Make an effort this month to not only be gentle with others but be gentle with YOURSELF.
