The people around you benefit when you let go of people-pleasing, despite the fact that this may seem paradoxical. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Taking on other people's burdens may come naturally to you if you're a people-pleaser. Because you believe that by going above and beyond for others, you can continue to win their favor. ๐Ÿ‘€

While society applauds generosity and charity, too much of it might cause you to completely disregard your own needs in favor of others. ๐Ÿ˜ช

You fear that letting go of people-pleasing would damage your relationship with them since you believe it keeps you in their good graces. ๐Ÿ˜–

However, the truth is that by letting go of people-pleasing, you actually help those around you because:

Permit them to develop by giving them more freedom to solve their own issues.
Let them have more control over how they react to and feel about specific circumstances.
Avoid letting your relationships suffer because of bitterness.

Because it's important to keep in mind that each individual is a unique being, and doing everything for them will ultimately impede their development. ๐Ÿ˜‰

You won't "never work a day in your life" if you do what you love, though.

As more individuals become aware of the unwholesome ideas that hustle culture and toxic productivity promote, it is becoming more widely accepted that burnout is a frequent outcome of these demands. ๐Ÿ˜ถ

Some people may still think that if you love what you do, you're immune to experiencing the symptoms of burnout, despite the fact that you now need to make sure you incorporate rest and set boundaries to prevent burnout. ๐Ÿค”

However, the reality is that enjoying your work does not protect you from burnout and its consequences! ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ

And this belief may even be more detrimental because you may not recognize the warning signs because of your love for what you do. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

Your awareness may be so distorted by your desire at that point that it may already be difficult for you to overcome it even before you are aware that it is happening. So before it can get to that point, be aware that passion can be a risk for burnout because it:

Makes work your top priority to the point where it keeps you from accomplishing anything else.

The belief that engaging in activities you enjoy is not truly "working" fosters the notion that you should do more of them, which is a surefire way to burn out.

Instead of succumbing to this misconception, keep in mind that the greatest way to prevent burnout from your passion is to ensure you don't give it all. ๐Ÿ˜‰

What more misconceptions about burnout need to be dispelled? Post your comments below!

There is no need to have rigid boundaries. โš’๏ธ

Contrary to popular belief, maintaining boundaries doesn't necessitate constant adjustment, even when it's necessary. ๐Ÿค”

It's also simple to believe that reevaluating boundaries is a sign of weakness when you're just getting into the practice of creating boundaries, especially if you're not sure where the line between "too stiff" and "too flexible" should be. โœ๏ธ

But keep in mind that if you have healthy limits, you can determine when you might need to adjust them, which might be caused by:

โžก๏ธ Gaining a fresh perspective of things.
โžก๏ธ Receiving new information that might warrant a change in boundaries.
โžก๏ธ Acquiring a new level of understanding.

So remind yourself that healthy limits do not mean you need to say "no" all the time! Instead, occasionally thinking about your boundaries to see whether they still serve the purpose you want them to is the best way to go. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Because having healthy boundaries means finding the right balance between being firm and being flexible. ๐Ÿ’ช

Every parent has a unique experience.
โ
Nobody has ever claimed that being a parent is simple.
โ
Although you might think you are not doing enough to meet your child's needs, we are here to assure you that you are doing an excellent job. ๐Ÿ’–โ
โ
It's acceptable to seek for assistance if you feel that parenting is getting to be too much for you. It could come from a close relative, a group of friends, or even a qualified individual. You can share your experiences with others in order to obtain a new perspective and discover new coping mechanisms. ๐Ÿ™Œโ

Remember that rest days are intended for just thatโ€”relaxation. ๐ŸŽฏ

You may feel guilty and uneasy when you actually spend your days off relaxing and doing nothing since hustle culture has taught you to associate rest with inactivity. ๐Ÿ˜ณ

However, keep in mind that life does not always have to be about activity; your body and mind require rest in order to resume functioning at their best. ๐Ÿ”‹

Furthermore, when you do take a day off but spend the majority of it feeling guilty, you not only prevent yourself from fully appreciating your time off but also prevent your mind from going into rest mode. You will ultimately feel unrested as a result of this. ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

So if you're having trouble letting go of the misconception that sleeping implies being lazy, remember that sleeping enables you to:

Work more diligently
Reestablish relationships with your family, friends, and self
Maintain your physical and mental wellbeing.

And keep in mind that you don't have to "earn" sleep! Regardless, your body and mind deserve it. ๐Ÿ’ฏ

Stop thinking and start doing.โ
โ
First things first, passive learning is important.โ
It helps us understand things in theory and help us make more informed decisions.โ
โ
But it shouldn't end here.โ
โ
It's very important that we also practice to be more involved and to reveal necessary insights. โ
It helps us to be more proficient and improve our skill set and/or knowledge.โ
โ
Both passive learning and active practice is vital to keep us growing.โ
It should come hand in hand.โ
โ
Leave a ๐Ÿ’– if you find this helpful!โ

All of us have been guilty of comparing ourselves to others at some point in our lives.

We compare large things like how much money we make or how successful we are in life to tiny things like how many followers we have on social media and the brands of our clothes.

Comparison draws your attention to others' blessings and draws emphasis to what you lack.

On the other side, thankfulness directs your attention inward, allowing you to better appreciate the positive things in your environment.

So today, we have a task for you! Include three things for which you are grateful in the comments box below. โคต๏ธ

This means that you donโ€™t have to wait until the weekend to ๐Ÿง–๐Ÿฟโ€โ™€๏ธ relax or take a break.

You donโ€™t have to exercise ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ or restrict calories to earn your next meal.

How to Stop OVERTHINKING?

1. Acknowledge the negative aspects, then evaluate if there's another way to think about the situation. Perhaps there are benefits or things you can change!

2. Write down your feelings and wait at least 24 hours (or just a few hours if it's an urgent matter) before replying or taking any sort of impulsive action.

3. Take a step back and look at the evidence. What evidence do you have that your thought is true?

Overthinking could be very stressful, learn how to stop it!๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

Here's a deeply intimate post -- what I wish I could tell myself during the years where I was bogged down and chained by the spectra of anxiety.โ
โ
I am very open about how I spent a good deal of my life in the depths of anxiety, worry and fear. ๐Ÿ˜”โ
โ
I was anxious about everything -- social situations, grades, work, judgment....โ
โ
It's only after the storm has passed did I realize just how much I lost because of it. I would even say that I missed out on some years because I spent so much of it anxious and scared. ๐Ÿ˜ขโ

I wish I had someone to tell me all of these things when I was younger, but at least I'm glad I'm telling them to myself now. โ™ฅโ

We all experience anxiety at one point in our lives. It's a normal part of being a human. โ
โ
And if anything, it makes you stronger.โ
โ
Anxiety is so inconvenient that it teaches you ways to overcome your stressors. It teaches you to find workarounds. โ
โ
Anxiety is fairly common, but if you continue to experience symptoms for a prolonged period that cause distress and difficulty functioning, you should seek professional mental help.โ

Practicing family traditions help tighten bonds and can help improve the physical and mental health of children.โ
โ
Whether it's about having breakfast together or going on trips, family traditions- big or small- help improve overall health!โ
โ
And Thanksgiving day is arguably one of the most celebrated traditions here in the United States. It's when we spend the day together with our loved ones while enjoying a sumptuous meal. โ
โ
But of course, it's not always about the food, but it's also a day where we express our gratitude for all the blessings we have received.โ
โ
And this practice of gratitude, especially when done regularly, can help instill the mindset of optimism and reduce the symptoms of stress. โ

No, personal development is not something that can be achieved overnight. โ
โ
It's a long process, probably taking a lifetime. โ
โ
The reason why most people struggle with their self-development is that it requires consistency.โ
โ
But remember, you can always start small and work your way from there. โ
โ
Whatever reason you have in mind and how you plan to achieve your self-development, starting now is always the right time to begin. โ

In this fast-paced culture, success and perfectionism are glorified.โ
โ
This is why when we fail or make mistakes, we try so hard to move on for fear of shame, embarrassment, or being called unprofessional.โ
โ
However, failure is an essential component of progress, and we should all take the time to reflect on what went wrong and our shortcomings so we can avoid making the same mistakes. โ
โ
As Richard Branson once said, "Do not be embarrassed by your failures; learn from them and start again." โ

Remember! Sometimes, solving it and making it better may not help.

When someone tells you their problem, we often try to fix it for them or offer advice.

However, this normally doesn't work as intended. โŒ

Sometimes, they may just need someone to listen and support them. And support doesn't always come from giving an opinion.

Support could mean actively listening to them, not using your phone when they're sharing, or giving them a hug.

Understanding their problem is the first step to giving support, whether through asking them questions to open up more or giving advice if they ask you for it.. Double-tap if you agree! ๐Ÿ’™

You'll have a far stronger connection with each other - and with yourselves- if you take time to celebrate yourselves apart from each other once in a while.โ
โ
When you're in a relationship for a long time, it can be easy to forget that you each have your own personality. โ
โ
You might start to think of yourselves as being two halves of the same whole. โ
โ
But this strips away your individuality and makes it challenging to celebrate both your partner and yourself. โ
โ
When you do something independent of the other person-- whether going out with friends, taking an exercise class, or traveling solo--you grow more confident in yourself and your relationship. โ
โ
๐Ÿ’– The result: less resentment between the two of you. ๐Ÿ’–โ
โ
Remember that you are your own person before you were even in a relationship. ๐Ÿค—โ
โ
Leave a โค if this resonated with you!โ
โ
We hope that you will start prioritizing yourself this coming New Year because only then will everything follow. โ

It takes a lot of courage to be vulnerable!

Itโ€™s a common misconception that vulnerability is a sign of weakness. However, there is strength in putting yourself out there, accepting life as it is, and opening up to the people around you.

It takes a lot to admit that you're struggling, but even more to accept your failures.

Vulnerability is not a weakness.

Being vulnerable allows us to live our best authentic lives.
