We are heading to the San Diego Fringe Festival to perform this weekend! At the University of Houston, we are looking to fill TWO Assistant Professor, tenure-track positions in Dance. A summary of the positions and a link to the full descriptions can be found below. Position 1: The successful candidate will teach studio practice/technique courses and dance theory courses related to their creative work/research. The devastating mass killings in Thailand have left me with a profound sense of sadness. What is happening to our world? When will we learn that anger and violence are not the answer to our problems? When will we acknowledge that empathy, compassion, and love have the power to heal? Nothing can mend the broken hearts of the parents in Thailand, but in my own world, I have the power to choose empathy instead of anger, compassion instead of hate, and love instead of fear.

I'm looking forward to showing my choreography in Philadelphia at the "InHale" Dance Festival on August 20, 2022 and the "River Dance Festival" in New Jersey on August 26, 2022. I am restaging "Memento" (with the exquisite costumes by Ashley Horn Knott) as a duet for Travis Prokop and Dwain Travis (compliments of Houston Contemporary). A big "thank you" to KGMCA and the Research Development Grant for support of this "touring" project.
