& that’s a wrap! We had the best weekend at the Unstoppable Retreat by Monarch Master Injectors. Our injectors learned so many new skills & techniques. We will now be offering PMU (lip blushing), PCDC (fat dissolver), and more! All of these new services will be rolling out in September….for now, this mama is officially on maternity leave! 🫶🏼

🫦 BEFORE & AFTER 🫦

A full syringe (1mL) of Restylane Kysse was used to add volume and hydration to these already beautiful lips. Lip filler contains hyaluronic acid, which is natural to your body, and lidocaine to help numb the lips from the inside out during the process. Topical lidocaine is always applied at least 15-20 minutes prior to injecting to help with any discomfort felt during the process. By adding HA back into the lips, it pulls moisture to naturally hydrate and plump the lips.

After care is SO important when getting your lips done. You should always drink lots of water before & after getting your lips done, but not through a straw. You should avoid drinking alcohol at least 24 hours before and after getting your lips done to reduce swelling, bleeding, and bruising. I always recommend that my clients start taking arnica tablets 3 days prior and continue to take them for 3-5 days after to help with swelling and bruising. Always take TYLENOL, never ibuprofen after getting your lips done. Avoid smoking, va**ng, etc. after to lower your risk for infection.

When booking a lip filler appointment, please keep in mind that swelling is normal and is usually the worst during the first 24 hours after getting them done! By day 3, the swelling starts to go down and you’ll be obsessed with them 5-7 days after getting filler!

Do not get filler a few days before a big event, pictures, etc. You need to give your lips time to heal to achieve that perfect end result! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to message me.

Pro Tips:
1. Take arnica tablets 2-3 days prior to your appointment and 2-3 days after to help with swelling and bruising.
2. Drink LOTS of water (not through a straw)
3. If you’re prone to cold sores, you should start your antiviral 3 days prior to your appointment and stay on it for 3-5 days after! You will need to get this from your P*P.
