New Paramedic 66 Placed In Service

Yesterday evening, members from Savage VFC had the honor of placing the new Paramedic 66 in service. This Frazer, Ltd. ambulance on a Dodge chassis is well outfitted to meet modern requirements of patient care, provide safety to those inside of it and benefit the community at large. This unit has been long anticipated and necessary, replacing a 12 year old ambulance that will now serve as a county spare. The membership looks forward to serving the community with this new piece of apparatus and is forever grateful for the continued support!

This Blizzard mini pumper offers a 1,500gpm pump, 2 rear discharges, super single lift kit, ladder storage, Whelen warning, Hi Viz scene and a mini Darley hydraulic driven pto pump letting pump and roll happen. Only 2 front sweeps cover over 35’ of coverage.

Why is this different? Because a lifted mini pumper creates tolerance issues for the front drive shaft which is near the Harrison Hydra-Gen PTO. Stepping out of the box and creating workable solutions by our entire team made this happen.
